I wonder how much money Indiana State is getting for this one. This is a team that just snapped it's 33 game losing streak this year. Of course it was the only game they won. PJ in Jersey
Bill I have to admit, if you turn on a college football game and don't know which teams are playing, if the home team is Boise St. you know immediately who's hosting the game.
Penn State in recent years has played the biggest joke of a schedule outside of conference. They haven't even tried to get a singel decent game. Teams like Coastal Carolina who even Jiffer never heard of before are the staples. Now Indiana State. Clearly though like the Kansas State teams under Bill Synder we see that burning through a bunch of nobodies by big scores impresses the voters and you get a solid ranking before conference season, then if you do well in your conference they pretty much ignore that you played Indiana State in the non-conference.
AJ, the figure is at 800k to 1million. ESPN is backing the game. Telling me that ESPN can't front the money is like telling me that a Marine can't conquer the world. I ain't buying that ****. It doesn't pass the sniff test. One can and the other has. Besides you are mixing arguments. BTW-if it comes out that 'Camp Tom' is the one who 'leaked' the 2015 2 for 1 deal to the media, that's a pretty bush league move by Tom.. that deal may well happen though. Bill, It is a site I have linked at work. All future schedules etc. I can send it to you Monday. KP, I thought I mentioned or made some marking somewhere noting that SOME of the teams on the OPEN list are already playing tough slates... but I've done the research, I assure you... You are pointing to the exception (Bama) not the rule... And I am sure Boise would love to play the slate... if those other schools would sack up and call, maybe they could
Corey, I wasn't talking about Alabama in particular. My point is that while Penn St. , Va. Tech, Clemson, Oklahoma can demand a home and home, Boise, Cincy, Rutgers, Fresno etc don't have an easy time scheduling the big boys and they shouldn't...yet. Right now, if they schedule one of the old established teams and lose, no big deal, but if they can go all out and beat a team with the pedigree, just once, they can use that argument for legitimacy nationwide. I'm not saying they shouldn't be able to schedule one of those games, I'm just saying it shouldn't be easy. 8)
