...have been Torched baby... Damn is right...I thought I could rattle some nerves back in the day...WOW. Good luck though...
BTW Dave, after the comeback year we've had, as soon as this team Bus is Thawed out, WATCH OUT BABY!!
Hey...look at it this way AJ....I called it earlier than most....back when I first saw the frosh on the field and actually the score was 7-6 at the time. This kid is a long...long....way from McCoy as a freshman.
AJ, hopefully MCG will mellow with age like you have. Oh wait, I think he's older than you already. Neat picture AJ.
The kid gave up two scores directly and set up a third I believe. He was the fatal achilles heel for Texas......but that was no surprise after the first couple of plays he was in there. But give Bama credit for smelling blood and for taking full advantage....like a killer shark who has no sympathy.....just killer instinct and hunger. Good qualities to have for a team aspiring to be a champion.
Funny... aspiring... the most successful, championship winning team BY FAR in the history of your conference and they are suddenly a fame chasing starlet hoping for greatness in your opinion. Your history is a strip mall to their Windsor Castle. You are well on your way to being one of the all-time greats, but make no mistake.. Their history runs their own path and heads many ways. Your history was built, albeit in limited supply, by making a path thru them temporarily. What happened in Atlanta upset you, but it should have shocked you with alarm. Barring some crazy ass 'Nick Saban to the Dolphins' kind of moment, you just saw the first step in what me be a long 10 to 15 year road for some of you boys down here. The King didn't get de-throned that night in Atlanta, the King returned.
I would say after a 17 year absence....with Fla winning three in the interim that Bama was "aspiring" this season.
As I said: The King didn't get dethroned that night in Atlanta, the King returned. You better get use to that. The longer you ignore this fact, the longer it will be that you are subjected to their rule. speaking of, Nick would like to talk to you.
Well I see the Tide on the schedule next year so they get a chance to continue our comeuppance: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/125040-into-the-future-florida-football-2010-schedule-released Lordy....I'm sceered.....  When was the last time we had a repeat NC? It's not very likely.
I'm with you, Bobda. That is a very clever and accurate comparison. Corey, you could start a fund for Carson's college education by charging royalties for the use of that phrase.
Sid, let me ask you a simple question. I agree Corey's statement was clever and I may well use it myself someday, but please tell me what is so accurate about the comparison? Maybe a second question to you or Corey, just how far back does something have to go to be legitimate history? Maybe a third question might be that since some of you don't think much of Gator history, just what fan base do you think has had the most fun the last 20 years? The Gators or _________ fill in the blank. Corey's been a Gator hater since I have known him going back to Prodigy days. I don't agree with Dave's approach, not in the least. However when you have to do as much shouting as Corey has done here when the Gators were ranked as low as 3rd, it does become very obvious that the Gators much be doing something right. Sorry about the length of this post, but Sid I would appreciate at least an answer to the first question, why was Corey's clever statement so accurate?
Bill, I almost didn't post this but take it for what it is worth: How long have you and I had civil conversation as a Vol vs Gator fan? Second question: What do you think happened that ENDED this civility? Ponder that for a while.
