When a senior, who is buried down the depth chart, pulls a stunt like that, the coach pulls out his magic wand and sez the magic word...

    ................NEXT!

ND's starting FB got a DUI last fall and was suspended from all extracurricular activities the semester including the bowl game. A true freshman played in his place.

Jim Bob will sit out the season opener against CAL. Jim Bob's a grad student who didn't throw a pass in '05. He made last appearances in one game each in '04 and '05 and wasn't likely to see the field against CAL anyway.

In a related story informed sources advise that Tommy Tuberville will ban linebacker Tray Blackmon from walking around campus as penalty for his PUI arrest.

    Associated Press

AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn linebacker Tray Blackmon has been charged with alcohol-related offenses in his hometown.

The redshirt freshman was arrested on May 13 in his hometown of LaGrange, Ga., and charged with underage drinking and being a pedestrian under the influence of alcohol, the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer reported on Friday.

Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville said he only recently learned of Blackmon's arrest and that he would be disciplined.

Blackmon, who spent most of last season on the scout team, is expected to contend for a starting job this fall

:D The DUI charge is the least one he got charged with....he got benign treatment as multiple other charges were dropped and never made public.

Criminals abound elsewhere.....Miami hasnt had a single problem in eons ....all the while we got Gators, Noles, Aggies, Longhorns, Vols, NoDoers and Trojans pushing up the scale of lawbreakers.

    Oh....lets hear it

    The Gonz

Must be the week for SEC discipline.

    From Rivals.com

According to a press release issued by the University of Alabama's media relations department Tuesday morning, two Crimson Tide football players have left the program.

Head coach Mike Shula announced that sophomore linebacker Chris Keys has been dismissed from the team for violating team policy and that sophomore cornerback Travis Robinson will no longer attend the university.

Keys played in each of UA's 11 regular season games as a true freshman last fall before being suspended for the Tide's Cotton Bowl win over Texas Tech.

The Port Barre, La. native recorded five total tackles while working mostly on special teams in 2005. Keys moved from safety to outside linebacker late in the season. He missed all of this year's spring drills after fracturing his right fibula in a February altercation.

Robinson redshirted last season after seeing action in five games as a true freshman in 2004. A back injury cut his rookie campaign short and he missed all of 2006 spring drills after tearing an ACL during Cotton Bowl practices in December.

There's a few in Austin that won't be back, combo of academics and bad behavior will trim the horns roster by a couple more, not including Ramonce Taylor.
