Only one thing to say... We gout out a$$ kicked. When Lane has his players in a year or two, I will be concerned about losses like this one.

I was suprised at how VaTech was able to run on your defense. Of course that dropped TD pass might have kept things pretty close.

I wasn't aware that Bryce Brown didn't play much this year, the hype was that he would come in and start from day 1. What happened?

Va Tech is a very well coached team. Year in and Year out.

Had a chance to make a sale tomorrow so I changed our 2 day leisurely return trip into a one day marathon. Without the trailer, Cindy is happy to help drive so we switched out every couple of hours.

This trip was quite strange... almost JO'Coesque. We had our bird with us on this two week trip so naturally, I mentioned this when making reservations for Hotels. Somehow, wires were crossed and we arrived yesterday in Atlanta to a hotel not allowing a caged bird. After a scramble to acquire lodging, we found the Holiday Inn Express at the airport and drove there. After the fiasco that some would call a game, we returned to the hotel room. At 03:00, I was alarmed by a loud voice in the hallway. The guy was yelling into his cell phone about how a taxi driver had ripped him off for $400. Obviously the cab driver was as black as this kid was white. He was throwing out the N word racial slur every 4th or 5th word. I probably saved his life by suggesting that he find his room and lower his voice before someone heard him that would take more offense to his words than I did. He went down to the lobby to try to remember what his room number was. This morning, we found out from the desk clerk that he wasn't even registered at that hotel. IDIOT!

At 03:40 we received a 2 ring hang up call on the hotel phone. We finally were able to sleep until the 06:00 wake up call came.

We left at 07:00 eastern time and just now arrived home at 23:00 central time. That is too long to spend on the road but at least we are in our bed tonight.

Sounds like a wild trip! Too bad about the bowl loss to VT.

Believe me I know what it feels like to lose a bowl game at seasons end with my Buckeyes! :x

I bet you cannd Cindy slept well in your own bed.

    Tom,

I finally have to admit that I'm too old for those driving marathons. Glad you and Cindy got home safely. Happy New Year.

Hey! At least your team got to play in a bowl game.

Glad you and Cindy are home safely Tom.

Like Sid we are to old for those driving marathons. However having said that we did one after the get together in KC. It wasn't planned that way but we ran into several hours of delays, in Tennessee no less, because of rain and by the time we couldn't get on I40 toward Knoxville took an alternate way back to Franklin. We just didn't think we would sleep well and our best bet was to keep going. We arrived about 2 - 3 am.

I hope that was the last one of that length of time in one day.

Not our last trip of course? :)
