President Obama told ABC News’ Charles Gibson in an interview that if Congress does not pass health care legislation that will bring down costs, the federal government “will go bankrupt.” Asinine statements continue to be the window into the soul of this socialist wannabe. Not once do he and his left wing spendaholics ever mention cutting costs, tightening belts, eliminating wasteful government spending. It's always about making everyone equal through government entitlements and paying for them by gutting medicare and targeted tax increases like the cap and trade boondoggle and such. How did we ever elect this fool?
The latest calculation of the National Debt as posted by the Treasury Department has - at least numerically - exceeded the statutory Debt Limit approved by Congress last February as part of the Recovery Act stimulus bill. The ceiling was set at $12.104 trillion dollars. The latest posting by Treasury shows the National Debt at nearly $12.135 trillion.
We have an administration who thinks that they have an unlimited credit card called the US Treasury. And the folks who voted for these destroyers are those that cry about their credit cards. Unbelievable.
One of.... <t>The best lines to date on Hussein and his press conferences was yesterday on the radio when a caller was laughing about this moron commenting " he got the health care bill he wanted" and two weeks before admitting "he had not read the bill" so whenever he has one of his lie sessions there be a "laugh track" after each one. So true.<br/> <br/> 400 billion in new taxes, 111 new gov agencies and it will save money and be run effeciently for Americans. On a brain dead loon would buy that line of thinking.</t>
We've become a nation of freeloaders that increasingly survives on entitlements. This healthcare bill is just another one .... but this one carries the double bonus of targeted income redistribution and a de-emphasis of health care for the elderly which plays heavily into the grand scheme of things. I'm amazed that there aren't millions or totch bearing citizens at the gates of the WH but then again our malaise is exceeded only by our ignorance.
