Given all the discipline problems that Fulmer had when he was the coach no doubt Kiffin wants to change the whole culture of the team and get away from the old lax ways to holding the players accountable. No coach can ever eliminate problems, as you can't watch the kids 24/7 and kids do some really stupid things. I can't help but think of Chris Henry who died today. He was a problem player at WVA, even RR told him he was embarassed by the stuff he did. It cost him in the NFL draft and he didn't notice and continued on till even the Bengals (notoriously lax) got tired of him and cut him. One judge said that he was a 1 man crime wave. Some said he'd turned things around since the Bengals gave him his 2nd chance, but he ran out of time today.
Agree Terry, sad stories on both counts. Unfortunate for some of these kids but what do you do? Mistakes have consequences... Some much more serious than others.
And until these kids realize this, more will follow the path of Vinson. Agreed, but Lane is certainly putting out the effort!
Well, it could be worse, in fact, a whole lot worse http://www.foxsportsdetroit.com/pages/landing?Nine-MSU-football-players-face-misdemean=1&blockID=101194&feedID=3701
I know this isn't sports related and this may not even be the right forum for it but this is just bizarre... http://www.newschannel9.com/news/year-987196-old-christmas.html
I know that came from Chattanooga but I am certain the kid must have been from Ringgold Georgia. If he was from Tennessee, he would have had at least a BB gun with him.
