Slick Rick New Weasel proved he is still a dick. With 54 sec's left USC went to the victory formation and had the QB take a knee, NewWeasel calls a timeout. I see by coincidence I posted on this topic about the same time. I agree there was no apparent reason for Neuheisel to call the TO, but I see it differently regarding Carroll's response. If I were Carroll I would basically say go ahead and call your TO, but look at the scoreboard. Not that he doesn't want to close the gap between USC and UCLA already, but this may give Neuheisel even more motivation, if that's possible. Either way, I'm sure most everyone agrees that this rivalrly just got kicked up a few notches!
It will be interesting how Corey views this, he's a UCLA fan, and knows how much USC and UCLA hate each other. There is a certain basic respect between USC and ND, but that doesn't exist (if I remember correctly) between USC and UCLA.
I believe I commented on this elsewhere? It's bush league ******** by both coaches. Peetey isn't in the right, but neither is Skippy. Dick moves by both guys and Pete is every bit as guilty as Rick in this case.. I expect more from both...
