Should be a beautiful crisp fall night in College Station. I'm sure the game is a complete sellout, most likely biggest crowd at Kyle this year. I don't really know what to expect, I do think the Longhorns are focused as a team and won't take the Aggies lightly. Our defense I believe is ranked amongst the top few in the country and should be able to handle that Aggie offense and our offense seems to be clicking in the last few games. This game is huge not only for the team, but also for Colt McCoy. If he has a great game tonight and one against a very tough Neb defense then I believe he can win he Heisman Trophy. I think he'll be up to it tonight. Jordan Shipley will also have a big game. I'm going to predict a 52-17 score. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Well... a minute and a half into the game and aTm looks like they don't know that Texas is supposed to win!
Yeah I tuned into watch a rout and it appears a barn burner of a football game has broken out. As Mack said to Erin Andrews, it's key that the Longhorns come out and get some points on the first drive of the 2nd half. Looks like there are Aggies hanging off the rafters at Kyle. Wouldn't be suprised if the attendance sets a record tonight.
Well, I'm just to the point where aTm tied it at 14. Had to go out and get neosporin and band-aids for Cindy who skinned a finger tonight. I'll catch up when we fast forward through half time.
Wow that was a great game, I watched 2 NFL games today and that was without a doubt 2x as good as either of the NFL games. Hats off to the Aggies, they played very well. The KO return for the TD was the back breaker though. I'd say the Aggies should be a very good offense next year with Johnson back at QB and both their rB's. I wonder if their OL will be bacK?
KP, This was all about offense! I think the defensive units set back and watched the show. Any predicctions on the game with Auburn today? Don
I'll weigh in with a Bama vs Auburn prediction. Bama wins but the spread is thrown out in this game every year. The margin will be 3 points. The score: 24 to 21. Cindy and I watched the 4th quarter last night while in the bed. Well, I watched it. Cindy's eye lids got too heavy about mid 4th quarter. She had to be at work this morning.
Wild game. The drive at the end of the first half hurt the Aggies chances a lot. McCoy may have cinched the Heisman with this game.
I'm of course disappointed, especially considering some of the opportunities that slipped by us... those two missed interceptions still haunt me. BUT... my guys played about as hard as they could. There are still some gaping talent deficiencies in our defense. Only better players can close those gaps... It was nice to put over 500 yards and 39 points on that vaunted Muschamp defense. I didn't see him doing a lot of chest bumping last night. No attendance record last night. Approx 84500. A full house, but well short of the record which is around 87K thanks to seats behind the benches which weren't used last night.
Don, If you had told me A&M would score 39, I would have said no way and if they do they win the game. As for the Alabama/Auburn game, I have been nervous about this game every year since 1972. I think the only way Auburn scores more than 14 points is if Alabama turns the ball over 2 or more times. I think our D scores once and offense scores 2. 21 to 10 Alabama.
