There was a time in college football where things were a tad more predictable and by Nov. 8th these would be more than just projections. I am glad they wait: http://cfn.scout.com/2/917329.html Looks like Tenn is "Volunteering" to come to Tampa while we may have Catholics vs. Conflicts all over again....with apologies to REC. Can ND make it to the Gator Bowl though with Pitt and now Stanford coming up and looking pretty strong? Can Oregon hold on to it's PAC10 lead and play OSU in the Rose? Will Bama or Fla learn from last year's Sugar debacle and get over it's SECCG loss hangover in time to show TCU or Boise just who is the boss? I love bowl season....
While it's always possible that we will win out and go to the Gator Bowl. Pitt and Stanford are looking very tough and it will be an upset for us to beat them. Actually UConn isn't looking like a guaranteed win either, you have to know the team might at this point go in the tank and lose all three games. At 7-5 that's losing 2 out of the next 3 I'm not sure what Bowl we'd be in, or if we'd even go to a bowl. We have in the past declined bowl invitations. Although we did go to the Insight.Com bowl when Willingham was fired. It wasn't a good decision. Team didn't have it's heart in it and we only had a skeleton crew of coaches.
Dave the bowl predictions are in constant turmoil this time of the year. Injuries like Stanzi for Iowa can alter things overngiht. While our picture changed with that injury and our win over the Nits, we still have to play Michigan in the Big House. There are no guarantees and all it takes is one slip and all is for naught. We should never have lost to Purdue, but we did! I hope we can reach the Rose Bowl, but I am not sure who I would like to play from the PAC 10. Don
You won't be sending Delaware State in Buckeye uniforms will you? That's the only way you'll lose to UM this year.
