    Last year was a photo finish between these two so I thought I would periodically check their progress as the season wears on. THis only measures hitting as those are the only measurable stats we can compare the two with.

    If the stats stay that close you have to give the edge, IMHO, to the fulltime player over the DH.

    In spite of his walkoff heroics yesterday, A-Rod has stranded more runners in scoring position in June than were lost at The Alamo. The table is always set for him but he generally refuses to eat. Papi surges out front.

    Interesting note: Jason Giambi is doing better than either of them.
