Bill.....that nerve has been so exposed you can hardly miss it. One of these days that sensitivity will die down hopefully I don't recall any of us ever being so sensitive about AJ's "Big Red Machine"...."Frazier scores again" comments and bluster.....we just accepted it and moved on.
....like I was saying.....winning with grace the Gator way. I realize it's a relatively new experience, but at some point you'll get used to it, grow up and act like you've been there before, but I'm not holding my breath nor is anyone else.....
Terry.....I think this is a cop out......mainly because I have tried to stay away from commenting about that game except to make points when debating some related subject. You can't stand this game even being mentioned in any context you're so sensitive about it. Be thankful it wasn't Nebraska that beat the Bucks like that.
If it relevant to the topic and in the context of reasonable discussion, not at all......but when there is a topic that casts UF in anything but a glorious light and the Gator response is "oh yea but we kicked your ass in the desert" a response completely irrelevant to the subject at hand and with obvious intent, much as you have done in the past and Bill most recently, that is juvenile. Period.....it is the equivalent to a school boy response on the playground when he's left with no suitable options, "oh yea, well my Dad can whip your Dad!" Brilliant.....and the point is what? Hence the term......childish. Carry on......
I've been around the block a few more times than you BT and something I've learned that you apparently have not is that the other guys point is worth considering and acknowledging the merits of the other guys point of view. Juvenile and childish is thinking you always have the moral and intellectual high ground when you don't. That frequently brings out responses that a person of that persuasion things is juvenile and childish. Thing is though that those type people frequently haven't taken the time to look in the mirror and understand themselves and how they contributed to the conflict. You need to look in a mirror.
Bill, I'm no spring chicken and didn't just fall off the turnip truck so if the blocks you've been around more than I have not taught you that the "....oh yea, well my Dad can whip your Dad" line of argument when you've got no better response is ridiculous and juvenile, then you need to try a different block.......
BT, seems your well has run dry and you are repeating the same old mantra that doesn't hold any more water than it did before. Perhaps you need to run around a few more blocks that might make you be able to comprehend what the other guy is saying a little better and give some thought to some position other than your own. Enjoy your day and take a look in that mirror. Got to go.
Denial isn't very becoming on you Bill......while it often seems worth the effort, it rarely ends in success. Good luck with it.....
Thanks for the wishes of good luck BT. What I am waiting for is for you to understand your own advice and to look in that mirror. Have a good day.
Looks like the girls stayed up past their bedtimes last night for the pillow fight and continued it this morning. Arguing Heisman Trophy candidates is like arguing politics or religion. No one cares what the guy on the other side of the argument thinks. The only thing dumber is arguing why past winners did not deserve the award.
Just for the record Sid so that I'm not considered dumber, I'm not arguing for my guy to get anything but consideration. Where ever he finishes will be fine by me, I've enjoyed my four years of watching him and no award of not award can change that. My point is something else entirely.
Bill, the pillow fight visual was meant only to be a humorous poke. It had nothing to do with the topic of discussion. I just thought that it's been a while since a "spirited debate" went long into the night and continued early the next morning. The "only thing dumber" comment was not directed at either you or BT. 'Nuff said.
THAT'S IT!! FORGET THE PILLOWS PAL...GLOVES ARE OFF!! You know as well as I do Sid that Frazier should have been the Winner over George.... You know, your right Sid, that is a waste of time.
I think there is enough football left for someone to distinguish themselves in the race this year. It might be Tebow that does just that but if all else is equal and no one does more than they have already I just don't think a "stats" guy is going to beat Tim out.
I appreciate the explanation Sid but it wasn't necessary, I actually thought it was pretty funny. I'm home alone this weekend and had to get up earlier than usual because my wife usually helps me get organized in the morning and out of the house. Hey, I finally had a good bowling set, 218-196-174 588. The best in a very long time.
