This is from the ND Sports Information Office. While it's understood that some conference teams' schedules will rise in strength as they get farther away from the nonconference patsy games, this release addresses ND's remaining schedule in terms of potential bowl-eligible teams. The number after the team name is the current BCS rank. Rick, your Wildcats are playing the toughest schedule of all the BCS teams.
This years schedule has turned out to be better than anticipated. We could end up playing 9 bowl teams, maybe 10 if things break right. 1. Nevada 2. Michigan unless they collapse completely 3. MSU 4. Purdue 5. USC 6. Navy 7. Stanford 8. Boston College 9. Pitt 10. UConn No chance for WSU, Very unlikely for Washington.
Are we supposed to take these four teams seriously? 75 TCU 6 77 Cincinnati 8 90 Utah 16 97 Boise State 7 102 Houston 18
I'd put TCU, Boise and Cincinnati on the field against anyone. Win, not win, who knows? They can play with anyone. If Oregon beats USC this weekend, I think people may want to revisit just how bad of an outright beat down Boise put on them.
Good question Krebsie and to further the point, nobody is taking Iowa seriously and yet they with the 2nd toughest schedule......go figure.
Speaks volumes to their wisdom.....a perfect record with the 2nd toughest schedule and yet people look for more from Iowa whilst ignoring that which has already happened from others who have played lesser .......laughable does not begin to describe it, independent of what happens in Columbus.
Iowa is being hurt by it's poor play vs Ark State and Northern Iowa, no doubt...in terms of perception as to whether or not they are good. BTW ever wonder about what might have been for Sparty? Last second (literally) losses to Notre Dame and Iowa? Then there was the incredible loss to CMU which they had beaten and let get away, also played Wiscy pretty damn close. Could have been one of those seasons....instead it's another kind of one of those seasons!
That is one way viewing it I suppose.....by my reckoning quality road wins in Happy Valley, Madtown and the Big House coupled with a good win over a solid Arizona squad on top of the aforementioned victories would seem to be more telling....but what does logic have to do with this system anyway? It's a joke....
Don't get me wrong, there are some out there actually watching what is happening on the field.......obviously not many, but there are some. http://www.cbssports.com/columns/story/12429870
I just wish once this propaganda was conciously secured by a max bet on points one time from the masses and not just the exceptions. Just 1 time. Anybody?......I'm sorry....Everybody?......
Thanks for the mention, Sid. I guess now is as good a time as any to announce that Arizona has scheduled The Citadel next season. 8) Also, I owe you an apology. I forgot to thank you for sending me the TSN e-mail link on the interview with Rob Gronkowski. Sorry, and thanks!
No problem, Rick. No need to apologize. I receive the Sporting News Today in a daily email. Whenever I see something of interest to a fellow Skyboxer, I forward the article to that person. Because the format is adobe .pdf, I can't copy and paste it to a post. I've done it several times, and I don't expect a return email. But you're welcome just the same.
Good man Doc!! Heh heh heh....my master plan to get back in the race is slowly coming together.....
