I can not ever remember an Ohio State offense that looked as sluggish and out of sync as we were today. Thank Goodness for two key interceptions by the defense that resulted in touchdowns and Small's long Kick Off Return for a score as well. Time of possession favored Wisconsin by a 3-1 margin. A win is a win, but this one was ugly, Don
Congratulations Don, don't forget Wisconsin is no push over...And as you already know, ugly is ugly but its the final score that counts...
That one pass from Pryor to the WR for the TD was a thing of beauty but other than that it was the OSU defense and special teams that came up big. Time of possession stat looked very odd.
Looks like so far, the Skybox members are having a good week... er, uh, maybe not Bobda. We'll have to wait on that one. Big time win Don... Congrats!
yeah we have owned BYE for a long time. Worse than we owned Navy. I was pretty confident coming into the week
Don, our offense never had the ball because the defense and special teams kept scoring touchdowns.....I've got no problem with that ever! Offense is still a work in progress for sure...the game hasn't yet slowed down for TP and he continues to try and force too much rather than letting it come to him. Young wideouts and young QB make for a passing game and offense that is very inconsistent.....that's what we've got. Defenses are doing a good job scheming TP. I look forward to the day when the "light goes on" for these kids.....in any event, dominating play by the defense. Any win against Wisky is a good one......
Certainly do not disagree with your thoughts, but you must have more patience then I have with Pryor. Don
I don't know if patience is the right word, but he is very young and there are few players in the country that have as much upside as he does.....he is a work in progress no doubt, but the finished product, if we ever get there, will be a thing of beauty. We're just going to have to endure the ugly moments like we enjoy the periodic flashes of brilliance.
Not too worried (yet) about the O...so we had a couple of three and outs and didn't really work out what the Wiscy D was doing...meanwhile they had such long time of possesions that we didn't get the ball much. When they went up 10-7 with only a couple min. left in the half they were getting momentum and we needed a score...marched it right down 88 yards for a TD. By the time the O got the ball again (seriously) it was 28-13 and the third period was practically over...and Tressel put the offense into Tressel-Ball mode...and it worked just fine.
