Those are great, I enjoy them every football season. Does he do them for other sports as well?

Nope... only football, and it is two different guys: Dan Proctor and Charlie Daniel (not to be confused with Charlie Daniels)

1/2 way through the second quarter and I can tell how this game will end and it doesn't look good for Tennessee.

Crompton can't hit a 10 yard pass to an open receiver.

The offense is stranding the defense on the field with turnovers on such simple things as taking the snap from center. My blood runs orange but I am bleeding out right now. The only consolation is that we will not be in the Skybox contest except when the opponent is ranked.

he just dropped a package right between the kids nipples and he dropped it. The Vols gotta stop blaming and start picking up the rope.

    I can't believe they're losing this game.

    Corey,

Yes, the receivers need to catch it when he makes a miraculous throw (defined as a throw that is inside the same stadium as the receiver). However, you go out and run patterns all day long and watch the ball sail over your head and out of bounds. You start losing confidence in your QBs ability to get the ball there.

We have a great defense that gets worn out by half time being on the field as long as they are.

I'm tired of watching QBs from other teams escaping the grasp of defenders... getting off passes to receivers as they are being pulled down... actually running for a first down. I want one that can do that on my teram.

    Tom,

I understand it's frustrating but someone's gotta step up here. He just hit another squarely between the numbers and the kid dropped it.

Hell, throw it to Stocker. Not only is he my fantasy team TE but he's the only receiver who brought his balls with him to the stadium today. It's a win-win.

Just figured it out... The receiver bust weigh over 225 for Crompton to get a sight on him. :?

At least we have a little hope going into half time.

Are these new uniforms for the Vols? I liked the old ones better....too much of the wrong shade of orange. :)

Auburn takes a 23 - 6 lead and Tenn moves quickly down the field for a td and narrows it to 23 - 13.

I'm watching this game mostly but flipping to the Miami - Oklahoma game also. Miami fell behind 10 - 0 but now leads 21 - 17. They have looked very good.

Congrats Auburn... If we only had a consistent offense. Whether it is his fault or not, Crompton will go down in Tennessee history as the worst QB of all time. Sad... :?

You have to like what Gus Malzahn has done to the mess of an offense that Tommy Tubesteak left. They look pretty good and like most people I figured hiring Chizik was a bad move...maybe not.

    Tom,

Not having a dog in this fight, and I don't mean to pour any salt on any wounds, Im just offering an outside perspective looking in on UT. I have no axe to grind and you know I respect you guys as having the stones to schedule anyone, anywhere. That being said, it seems like there is a bit of offensive finger pointed going on and no one man is perfect. If they'd all stop worrying about blaming one guy and start working toward a common goal (ala your defense), Compton wouldn't start being good..but you can minimize his effect.

One thing is for sure.. in this offense, you need a big time QB.

Tom/Aquila, how does Tenn look for Qb next year? Any top prospects?

Also....how young is the defense and/or will the defense be full of returning talent next year or have to reload?

Not Tom or Aquila but I do follow recruiting and Tenn shockingly struck out with the 2010 class of QB's. Both Tom and Aquila have said a top QB would most likely have started next fall right off the bat.

I'm sure they are working very hard on the 2011 QB's. Offers could go out Sept 1 to that class. I'll be interested to hear who are their top targets and have they already been offered?'

Tennessee didn't completely strike out. They did receive a commit from Rivals 4* QB Tyler Bray from California. He is seen as a bit of a project but he was a fast riser in recruiting circles during the summer. He is expected to enroll in January.
