I mentioned it before but of the 2 ND QB recruits for 2010 class this Rees kid keeps looking like the better of the 2.

I think Ree's plays lesser competition than the Catholic League in Cincy where Hendrix plays and his team is 2-4 he's their only weapon so he throws it more than Hendrix. But I like seeing that he can put up the numbers. I'll be a little suprised though when they get on campus if Hendrix isn't better prepared to run the Weis offense than Rees. Nice to have 2 good ones coming in, if Clausen leaves after this year then next year we only will have Crist, Hendrix and Rees as QB's. That is what Texas has 1 experienced Qb in McCoy (way more experienced than Crist) plus a true freshman in Gilbert. You just have to hope your starter goes all the way.

We really need to have another 5* stud in the class of 2011. Right now we have targeted Price Litton out of Charlotte and Christian Suntrup of St. Louis but neither have yet to receive an offer. We have 21 offers out there so far, 9 defense and 12 offense.

Tim have you been following Hendrix Blog on ISD? I think it's public not private, Mike Frank says it's all him no ghosting by the ISD staff. The kid comes across really well.

I have read some of Hendix blog. Maybe your right about Hendrix being being more ready for Weis's offense but the Rees kid is still putting up some crazy numbers. <br/>

I try not to think too much about the 2011 class right now as everything depends on how the rest of this season goes as far as I'm concerned. If we end up with 10 wins Weis stays and the recruiting should be fine. 9 or less wins with one of the losses a lopsided performance at home against usc and well.......We will probably have a new coach named Kelly and I don't know what kind of recruiter he is. <br/>

Hey, are ya ready for San Antonio? <E>8)</E></r>

I'm ready for SA for sure! Bring on Wazzu! :)

As far as Rees, I 'm with you it's great that the kid is having a terrific Sr. year, we need both he and Hendrix to be good and let the competition sort things out when they get to campus. Do you know if either of them is going to be an early enrollment?

I don't know if either one is an early enrollment. If Clausen leaves for the NFL it would sure be nice if one of them came in early though. <E>8)</E></r>

Irish will have something like 45 or 46 recruits on campus for the USC game. Makes it pretty darn important weekend for recruiting....a win and I think a lot of guys on the edge will jump on board.

You're right, it's a big game in many ways for the Irish and there will be lots of recruits in for the game. If they can find a way to win this game it would be huge for the program. It will take everyone's "A game" <E>8)</E></r>

Charlie is going to be in Fla for the ST.Thomas Aquinas game this weekend, they have 3 players we are interested in recruiting.

Gio Bernard, Cody Riggs and Brandon Linder.

I think it's interesting that Rob Ianello is going to Minn to continue to work on Seantrel Henderson and that Tony Alford (who is turning out to be an ACE recruiter) is going to Louis Nix game. I figure Nix being a So. Fla kid and with the rise of the Miami team and their defense in particular that he'd be nearly impossible to get out of there. Henderson seems to have expressed little or no interest in the Irish. He's coming to the USC game and he went to the USC/Ohio State game, plus he's taking an offical to South Central for a USC game...sounds like a USC commit to me.

Good article on this on ISD front page.

    T,

I don't follow the pay sites for info and the stuff I get is always second hand..so it's either gold, or pig poop... but I heard that Henderson kid has gone from no interest... to some, to none to mild... it seems like we're chasing him a bit. I want kids who want ND. I hope the reports are wrong.

Alford can recruit AND coach.. Anyone who can do well at Iowa State should be able to do well just about anywhere.

I'm glad to see Charlie parking his arse at an StA game. There is no reason in the world why we shouldn't nab the best player they have each year. I know Miami, FSU and I believe even Florida have been scooping up their kids for years. I also know the school has more than a few rabid ND fans who were quite frustrated that StA kids are playing for NCs while Bob Davie use to chased A&M's #4 choice at WLB or Ty posed for the cameras.

If we aren't careful, it will become a pipeline to another school and I just hate it when Catholic schools become pipelines for someone else. (Bishop Amat in CA comes to mind with USC)

Hey Tim another big game for your boy Tommy Rees.
    Rees

While Hendrix team ground Cincy Elder into the dust with 323 yds rushing so he didn't have to throw very much.

Yes, I saw it too. Kid is having a great season. By the way, Mike Frank clued me in on this kid before he or Hendrix either one committed. I remember him saying he liked him a lot.</t>
