The Yankee Bowl!! In Yankee Stadium, On Dec 29th......geez. Hey maybe the Huskers can go every year they are already acclimated to the cold weather. Yankee Bowl
Who in the Big 12 office thought this was a good idea??? I can't imagine the weather in NY on Dec 29 is often a sunny paradise, and I can't imagine the payout will even cover expenses. What a dumb deal!
Maybe the B10 can trade its bowl game set the day after Christmas in Detroit (now called the Little Caeser's Bowl due to demise of the Big 3) to the B12 for the Yankee Bowl....
Well at least the bowl formerly known as the Motor City Bowl is played indoors!! The Brox in late December? Well the Jets and the Giants have to play there but nobody else should have to endure that weather as a "reward" for a pretty good season!
I'm sure the attraction in the minds of the organizers will be NYC at Christmas time. The catch is the unbelievably high expense of spending 2-3 days in NYC. I would not go if ND was playing. I would be surprised if the game sells out.
