This is not a marquis match up... not a game that I marked on my calendar as a must attend. However, it has worked out that Cindy and I can take off at the same time, one of those last minute "We can if we desire" decisions like the Kansas City trip. So, we are leaving with RV in tow on Tuesday after Cindy ties up all loose ends at the hospital.

We will be making it to Shreveport, LA the first night and Meridian, MS on Wednesday night. We'll make Chattanooga by Thursday night. Even though it is a night game, we will be leaving the RV in Chattanooga at sun up Saturday morning to take in the atmosphere of Knoxville all day. Vol Jeff is on notice that the Texas riffraff is on the way.

I will be starting the Tennessee defense in the Skybox Fantasy League in hopes of racking up triple digits with the defense alone.

    Thanks Sid.

Ten years ago, I would have still been making marathon runs. I would pull out from home and stop for sleep when I got to where I was going. I just can't do that anymore. I can still make the trips with the best of them... I just take a little longer.

    Reminds me of a song...

I had not seen this video before now... This is hilarious!!!

Cindy will be home in less than two hours and we will be on the road. Shutting down the computer to stow it away for the trip. Will check in from Shreveport tonight.

Due to an issue or three with the RV last night, we did not have time to get on the boards. We have made our destination for day, Meridian, Mississippi, and are relaxing in the spacious camp site provided to us by Wal-Mart.

We have a generator capable of powering everything on the RV at the same time. The DirecTv dish found the satellite within one minute and the A has the inside cool. Life is good. Believe me, I would rather have a regular camp site with electricity provided. However, most of them have tall trees that prohibit DirecTv signals from getting through.

On the way today, we saw a big sign propped up on the side of the interstate in Mississippi. It stated that there was a "Narcotics Checkpoint" ahdea with drug sniffing dogs. This sign came just before an exit. We went five to ten miles down the road never seeing anything of the sort. It then dawned on us... The checkpoint was probably on that exit. The sign was probably there to get those that were worried to make a fast exit. They were probably stopping every vehicle exiting there.

Tomorrow's destination is Chattanooga with a brief stop in Birmingham for fuel. Looks like 6 hours plus any stops we make.

We have arrived... We had to pull up stakes last night and move the RV lat night. A heavy rain storm in Meridian caused us to shut down the generator. The generator is necessary for air circulation in the camper. At 9:30 p.m. we left Meridian eventually finding no rain in Birmingham.

I just checked my picks for the contest. Before we left Austin, I thought that I had completed the picks. I had gone through and calculated confidence points. I selected confidence points. I just didn't pick the winner of any of the games. All is completed now.

I'm saying that a 8000 watt generator and water does not mix. It did not come in the RV. I added it onto a rack mounted to the back receiver hitch. I'm all for a marriage remaining electric. I'm not wanting to see sparks like that generated.

Tennessee offense looked good on the first drive both passing and running. Tennessee scores on the opening drive 7 - 0. However, special teams let us down and Ohio takes the kickoff back for a TD. 7 - 7.

Yes. And I wish we were not.

We gave up on them fixing our account and added the game to our family's account. If Tennessee doesn't get id of Crompton, we will not win another game this year. He has already thrown an interception in this game. The Vegas Over/Under for his interceptions is set at three per game.
