Schil looked good tonight. Foulke sure didn't.

I was amazed at how Wang kept getting hit after he got ahead of hitters 0-2. Another double for Lowell.

I watched the game and I was as amazed as BDR. Giving up a hit on an 0-2 count is NEVER supposed to happen. There must be some kind of language problem...

I don't know why I'm surprised that Schilling is just now getting close to win #200. How old is he? How many years pitching? Does he have a shot at making it to 300, ie is he young enough/healthy enough?

Payrod as usual pads his stats when it means nada. Some time soon, I dont know when Yanks will realize they are dealing with a CURSE here. I have been writing for 3 years now on the AOL baseball boards about THE CURSE OF PAYROD. I dont want to aggravate my good friend Krebsie so I have limited my writings to AOL. If we have any AOL members here, go to NY YANKEE baseball boards and enjoy my words of wisdoms. I wont post them here. jif

I was watching 24. Forgot they had a game until SportCenter this morning.

Nobody is confusing A-Rod with Ortiz when it comes to clutch hitting, believe me.

As far as his salary goes, you conveniently forget that the Red Sox were only slightly outbid for his services so they were more than willing to do the same thing the Yankees did.

What burns my butt is that the Yankees are thinking about going all out for that aged egotist Roger Clemens. I hope you guys win that bidding war. I hear you can rent Roger for three months for about $12,000,000. Don't forget, for all of his greatness he traditionally pitches like sh!t in the final stages of a season and playoffs.

The Yankees need to forego winning division titles every year and get younger for a run at the big prize.

    Thread drift alert!

What did you think of the ending of 24? I liked the way they got the confession out of that weasel Logan, but I was totally shocked by what happened to Jack. I mean what's Audrey going to do now? Also do you think Audrey recovered a little too fast from that gun shot wound?

Only a doctor would notice that she recovered totally in two hours from a gunshot wound.

I liked the ending... it will keep us on our seats for the next 7 months.

Schil didn't do much during his four seasons with Baltimore and Houston. In all his time with the Phillies they only had the one winning season in '93 (insert Joe Carter/Mitch Williams memory here) and it looks like he had a lot of no-decisions there, which is better than taking a loss.

I left work when it was 3-0, got home at 7-4 with Papi up and two on. I'd have loved to see him come through again, but no.

Good for A-Rod. You know what AJ says about blind squirrels and acorns.

I just listened to the replays on EEI and I understand why you say Tito left Wake in too long. That can happen with a player's manager, although I can't recall Torre doing it.

    Wake's 3-6 now. I definitely don't like that.
