    That sounds about right to me PJ, the offense should be fine and we should score enough points to win. What is up in the air is can the defense regroup and play a good game. The one thing that is supposedly on the side of a better defensive effort is that MSU is a more conventional offense. To tell you the truth I'm not sure what difference that means, if they can run the ball up the middle of the defense it doesn't make any difference if they do it from an I-Formation or from a Spread Formation.

    I haven't given up on Charlie yet though I have never been sold on him as an HC. I think he has done fine as an OC. Now the special teams and defense look iffy.

    With that said, I just took the Irish and laid 9.5.

    This is a huge game for Weis because of the streak MSU has against us at ND.

    Oddly enough, hardly anyone thought UM would beat us but the MSU game is one of the ? games.

    I'm staking my current feelings about the team on the belief that Michigan will turn out to be a much better team than anyone thought and that our loss, while frustrating and painful, will not look so bad as the season moves on. I know that I am in a very small minority, but that's how I feel today.

    I could be dead wrong.......or not. One thing is certain. Each game will give me a chance to re-evaluate my thinking.

    I hope that I'm still feeling the same after tomorrow.

    I'm actually with you on this Sid. I just haven't posted it so as to not give Bobda the satisfaction :D Although I am sure the home win over the Irish is satisfaction enough..

    I think we are all with Sid in spirit but retain the autonomy to bail out on him at the first sign of resistance 8)

    LOL! George, now I realize what was happening when I heard you yell, "We're behind you, Sid!".....and your voice seemed so far away. :lol:
    Not to worry, Tom. I plan to be close to a wall or other form of support during the game. :lol:

    I've always liked the way Sid considers thing before he takes his position and then he's rock solid in his belief in that position! :wink: :wink:

    My dad's theory of bet against the team who plays ND next and against the team that just played ND, mostly after they beat ND.....

    Mich St loses or doesn't cover a lot the week prior to playing ND

    Let's go ND this Sat., eventhough I have a friggin wedding to go to....Who does that?

    Oh man 77, I know your pain. My sister got married the day of the ND-Vandy game years ago. We had the TV in the limo and the tuxedos wired up. Its the only way she would have been able to get the men in the wedding there.

    In 2005 I found myself during the ND at Mich. game in Sacred Heart attending a wedding of the bro. of my son-in-law who was an ND grad and was marrying an ND grad. My grandson started acting up a little and my daughter Molly said to me "Dad could you take Patrick over to the student center? I think that they have TVs there." She always was my favorite :D

    So, can we have a future sainthood nomination for Molly. Everyone wants their daughter to be like her! :wink:

    First of all UW was 1-13 in their last 14 games. Yeah their starter was down injured. Here's part of a post from one of the coaches who post on one of the ND sites
    There is an impact on SC when other teams get recruits that they want. But if we're losing recruits to SC because of the crap we get from BT officials...

    <r>O.K. 2 things. Our defense didn't look good again and TOO MANY PENALTIES! Thankfully we won this thing. Oh yeah, we lose M.Floyd for about the next 5 games I imagine!<br/>
    <br/>
    If there is something good about this win it's that they took it away from msu just when they probably thought they were going to at least tie it! YES!<br/>
    <br/>
    Also it ends this winning streak msu HAD at ND stadium. <br/>
    <br/>
    Somebody please do something with this defense and for God sake, stop the penalties!! <E>8)</E></r>

    I think that those that think Floyd will be back in 5 or 6 weeks are overly optimistic. From what I've read, that injury to athletes usually puts them out for 3 mos. He could be back for a bowl.

    Someone better Tim. But JC is playing so well, all they have to do is be in the right place and catch the damn ball.

    According to ESPN this morning, Floyd is out for the regular season. That hurts as I believe he's the best WR in college football.

    We need kamara to sack up, or one of the kid's to seize the opportunity. Rudolph is a monster and we need for him to stay a focal point in the attack. A guy like that keeps LBs and safeties in the middle, leaving our WRs in man coverage.
