One of the many amendments proposed by Republicans is a "verification" section to prevent illegals from obtaining free health care under the proposed new system. http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/08/27/health.care.immigrants/ Every time Republicans try to make additions or suggestions the Dems ingore or vote them down. And their hypocritical response is, "you never offer any alternatives." ********. And while we're at it, we all recall the the Bush administration suggested some changes to the Social Security System involving investment in equities. The Dems of course opposed it and it was defeated. Remind me of the alternative plan that they offered. Same with the presecription drug plan Bush proposed, I never saw a Democrat alternative. Don't you get dizzy with all the spinning?
With regards to Soc Sec I remember during the heat of the debate when Howard Dean was asked about the Dem plan he said they had a plan but they weren't going to release because the Republicans would just pick it to death! Yeah that's a plan! The stealth plan! :roll:
