ND leads 20-17 at the half. I have to say that I am impressed with Forcier, he's got quick feet and throws on the run well and it appears he has a strong arm. The Irish offense in general had a good first half, probably should have had more points. I didn't understand the QB draw with Clausen though. Defense played well and had several 3 and outs, Sergio Brown has 2 costly penalties though one holding and one PI. That Kick return was huge for them though.
We had a TD called back. Missed a chip shot FG. They ran back a KO. And the refs have ****** us. And we're still up at the half.
We .... <t>Finally have made enough mistakes and played poorly enough on defense in the second half to now be losing to a poor Mich team.<br/> Painful to watch.</t>
Nice to see a 70 yd pass play negated on an absolutely clean block called a hold. If you're an ND player why bother, these crooked pricks will never let you win.
So are the guys in the striped shirts. Just saw a D holding penalty negated because the later pass was uncatchable. Got to read THEIR rule book.
Oh yeah, where have we seen that "unsportsmanlike" conduct call before? Oh yeah I remember, Ann Arbor.
 the oconnor household has the attention of the nieghborhood I am surpised the police havent been called' jim is willing to send his tape of the game to the ncaa ' re the ref's in this game .... they have been horrible.... last 3 min of the game dont know if we will survive this game... think jim is starting a voodoo doll for each of the refs or putting an Irish curse on them ....... GO IRISH ......
Even at the end they had to steal 2 sec. from ND. Doubt that Mich will do that well in conference, after all the refs can't pulls that **** in conference play.
  :x boda I think you should thank the ref's for giving you that game... hope the check books ,,,, where out and writting their childrens college tuiitions... please Michigan dint win w.o the help of the officals.... its a sad day when the offiicals are the result of the final score... if you need the tape of the game we will send it to you....
The only thing ref wise I am upset with is the unsportsmanlike penalty on Allen, I never saw what he did and it was huge. Although in fairness we stopped them after the kickoff and got the ball back with 2 minutes to go and couldn't run out the clock on them. I am disappointed in giving up 38 points to them, I thought our defense would be better or their QB wouldn't be as good. On the penalty on Sam Young where Rudolph had the big gain, the replay showed him with a fist full of jersey and tossing him to the ground. On Forciers TD run, it's a reach to blame that on the B10 ref, it was the big hole in the middle of the defense and Tenuta not having any safety back there to guard against. On the 2 seconds, I don't know they are saying that Riddick touched the ball and that's the 2secs. Of course maybe we get one more play after Tate fumbles out of bounds, I don't know. Hail Mary's sometimes work and I'd have wanted to at least have the chance. To me it came down to we have the ball with 2 minutes and a freshman WR doesn't know the ball is coming to him on 3rd down and we have to punt and we get a mediocre punt instead of a great punt. Tate missed some catches today that he's been making on those deep balls, one it looked to me like it hit him in the hands....would have been a tough catch no doubt..but he's been out fighting the DB's and making those plays. To me it really came down to RR just (again, remember my WVA/GaTech nightmare redux)has an offense and the QB to beat Tenuatas defense. We both missed a FG so we're even on that, our ST gave up the big score that was huge, and we couldn't contain Forcier on defense.
I see now why you guys get on my case about serious ref complaining because when you don't have a dog in the race you see things differently. One thing I did notice is that there was an abundance of uncatchable wide sideline balls thrown by Clausen in which there was contact by the Michigan DB making it look like a flag could be thrown. Otherwise a great game to watch and I feel good for the people of SE Michigan ( except for Gipper... ). That was the loudest crowd I can remember hearing through the TV from Ann Arbor and I think some of it is last year's miserable record and the other is the prevailing economic disaster that has befallen the area. Humility has energized the Wolverine fan base it appears.
That officiating was horse ****, but the bottom line is... If Golden Tate catches half the balls he dropped, we win this game today... Well done Wolverines.
Refs ever see a pancake block? Actually the mich guy pulled stewart down....What a joke that officiating was.....I guess Mich only commits penalties when ND does on the same play! What a ******* joke!
