Might as well get er going: http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/gamecenter/recap/NCAAF_20090912_TROY@FL I'll be going to my first game this season after giving away my tix the 1st game and selling them for today's game. Can't wait.......
I'm down for the discussion. I can't drink for the next two weeks, well I can but it wouldn't be bennificial until this friggin school is over. All I can say despite what you saw today, get ready to face the BIG ORANGE AND WHITE "D"!! GATOR STEW sounds real good right now!!
Gort, they must sell gator stew there where you are at! I don't think you are going to eat any next Sat in Gainesville.
Gators are bringin their own D thank you...... 8) Demps and Rainey are coming to the party too....
My first thought: I'm going to the UT graduation. I'm taking my old cap. When they call Crompton's name, I'm going to let out the loudest rebel yell I can muster and throw my cap as high as I can!
Unfortuneately for Tom and Cindy I smell a huge whupping, Gators are vastly better than UCLA on both sides of the ball and it's at the swamp and they already have all the bulletin board material any team could need in Kiffins comments during recruiting.
Tom that is friggin hillarious. I'll be stationed in San Diego by then but i'll take leave and we can throw a tailgate party and a after graduation party, o did i mention a pinata in the form of crompton could possibly happen.
It's never all that simple to exact the expected result: http://www.gatorsports.com/article/20090914/COLUMNISTS/909149890/1044?Title=Fans-want-blood-but-it-won-t-be-easy Georgia last year paid a heavy price for the "rush the field" antics of the year before. It remains to be seen if UF can pull up that same measure of punishment this Sat. vs. the Vols......or if they even are motivated to do so. I suspect the UF staff, team and ultimately the fans would be merely satisfied with a W of any sort.
Depends on how big and nasty that dog truly is AJ. Tenn is still hidin in the dog house and we can't see yet how big the dog is. We'll find out on Sat.
Don't get me wrong people. The success of this game depends on which Crompton shows up... Will the head hanging defeated attitude depressive little Johnny show up or will the manic Jonathan with his head on a swivel be the one in attendance? The "opportunity for improvement" (don't like the word "problem") is that the majority of the team has experienced this bi-polar QB for too long. They know that when he is off, nothing they can do will counteract his mistakes. When he is on, it seems that everyone is on as well. I would take any QB in the history of Tennessee football over what Crompton can do. Daryl Dickey, the son of Douglas Adair Dickey who rode the pine pony all of his career until Tony Robinson blew out a knee would be a better QB than JC... even today at 45+ years old, he would be a better choice. I've got this to say to the Gators: If you do lose to this mental midget of a field private (will never make General), you better hang your head low. Bi-polar depressive poster child shows up: Tennessee 0 Florida 183 (mostly interceptions ran back for touchdowns) Manic Crompton shows up: Tennessee 28 Florida 23 Notice that the 4 Tennessee players I had in the Fantasy league are now available... any takers? Guaranteed to help your team get first shot at the waiver wire!
We have Stevans but he proved to be no better than Crompton when given a chance last year. Nobody else has even taken first team snaps in practice.
The mistake prone Crompton.....with the fuzzy look in his eyes under pressure will get eaten alive by this version of the Gator defense. There is a lot of talk about Monte Kiffin but Charlie Strong has been an excellent D coordinator and gameplanner over the years so JC can expect some surprises meant to throw him off balance. Then you have the single coverage ability of the Florida DBs that will allow for better run stoppage and a good pass rush. Tenn had better bring it offensively like never before to score 28 points.
I thought you guys signed a J.C. transfer QB who could play this year. I seem to remember reading his bio and he had an outstanding J.C. career. What's happened to him?
