We both had patsies that made great paydays today. We both scored at will. We both held the opposition to single digits. This bodes well for both teams. Congrats on wiping up the Swamp with your opponent no matter who it was.
One of my mistakes in the Fantasy league was to start the Florida defense when I had Tennessee defense on the bench. The Florida defense allowed 3 times the yardage that Tennessee did. They scored 15.75 points for me and the Tennessee squad would have given me 24 points. Oh well, only thing I need is for Sneed to light up the scoreboard with 7 passing TDs against Memphis and I'll be ok.
I was a little surprised the UF defense didn't score off TO yesterday and I am sure that gives Charlie Strong something to work on this week. As I said in another post though UF was playing a vanilla defense and sometimes that may not set up TO's very well. In any event the first string offense was very crisp.....Tebow looks awesome.....the RBs are fast as lightning.....and the TE Hernandez is a beast. Didn't like the drop deep by Thompson but at least he was fast and open vertically downfield and Tebow hit him stride right on the numbers. All in all UF 2009 looks like a well oiled version of UF 2008 and this early in the season that's a very good thing.
I don't know much about the Tenn win except it was impressive and Compton had a big day. I watched the Gator game last night and have Breakfast With The Gators on right now. I do know this about the Gators, they played a vanilla 4-3 defense all night and played a lot of players on both sides of the ball. I assume Tenn did much the same.
