We're at least three miles south, Sid, so we're in good shape. Unfortunately, we have friends that live quite a bit closer - one family is under evacuation - and it's them that we're worried about. A lot of the brush in this fire hasn't burned in 60 years, and the terrain is pretty steep and rugged, so parts of the fire have been burning unabated. Bring all of the water you can, Corey. It's a drought year.
 I have been so worried about you and Kim.... Do you believe this fire... its headed both east and west .......Drivingto work this morningI could see the flames onMt Wilson ... The ash's are incredibile...... hope you stay safe.... did you hear about the Family in Big Tajunga that refsd to leave.. or the 2 that decided to ride out the fire in their hot tub... Corey is coming home this weekend I guess they are going to the Dodger game on Saturday w/ joco give Kim a hug and please stay safe D
Just so I got the order straight Rick.. That's 3 super soakers and maybe a flame retardant snuggie? I'm heading out Thursday so if you guys could manage to get the weenie roast over by then that would be great.
We're good, Diane. The fire has moved away from us (unfortunately though in several directions) so all we're dealing with now is smoke and ash. I'm hoping by the weekend I'll be able to get out and do some yardwork and go riding. Thanks for thinking of us. Don't forget the take-out from Dreamland, Corey.
