My friend would have backed out for your nephew or others but today he spent 3 hours ranking the players so wouldn't be right to then ask him to back out.....Plus now definitely have ten in and cbs can now autopick our teams tomorrow.....Good Luck to all!
yeah top 2 ranked qb's not in our league...houston and nevada aren't in the 7 conferences we picked.....
lI don't understand the draft results. I had Jimmy Clausen ranked #1 on my QB list and nobody in the draft order above me took him, yet I got Taylor Potts of Texas Tech in the 1st round?
I'm not sure that my list was used either. I didn't have him very high on the list so I was not surprised that I did not get Bryce Brown RB from Tennessee. I went to see if he was available and he was not. I went to see who got him and nobody did. It appears that he may have been pulled late last night because of the investigation I posted this morning.
I clearly didn't understand the process.....my team is a train wreck waiting to happen. Oh well....let the games begin.
I'm wondering... I thought last year we had to set the system to use our rankings... This year, I made my own list, but I don't remember seeing any boxes to check to say "use MY list"... Hmmm.... I got some of the guys I had ranked high, but whiffed on others... Not sure what happened. I got some interesting options at QB... with Colt, and Pryor... 8)
Scott, speaking only for myself, I have no doubt that my team is a direct result of my own stupidity and ignorance of the process.....that said, let the games begin! I will however be a very active deal maker.....! 8)
No wiser words have been said! Bring on the games! Football season is ALWAYS the stimulus for business in my office. I have delivered one 3 day class in the past 6 months. Now that football season is here, I have a schedule that is starting to fill. I get to watch the first Tennessee game of the season on Sept 5th, I fly to California on the 6th, teach a 5 day class through the 11th, and touchdown on the 12th in Austin with about a hour to get home to see the 2nd game of the season. I don't give a rats a$$ if I miss all of the games if business picks up. That's what TiVo is for!
... Cindy can't go because of work issues but I am considering changing my flight to fly back into Knoxville to see the first game and then hit a family reunion in Chattanooga on the 13th. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh... don't anyone tell Cindy!
It couldn't have used my rankings but I don't care. It seems that Bliss got a lot of players that I wanted and there isn't much on the free agent market. I can't wait for this to start though. My team is crap, but this will be fun!
Tom, after meeting and visiting with Cindy, I know what a sweet, sharp, and fun gal she is. I also know that I don't want her mad at me. Nooooo. So if she asks me, I'll have no choice but to tell her what I've heard. Corey, I also did not get most of the players I wanted, but I'll settle for Tebow at QB. I know it will be fun, but I have no idea how good or bad my team is, because I don't know diddly about most of the players. By the way, I may dangle Southern Cal's defense as trade bait. I know they're good, but I don't like having them on my team. I'm thinking about it.
Interesting proposal. I have to go on the road for the next several hours. I'll let you know via email tonight.
My team may not be the best, but I think I have a chance at a good year. I will need a kicker in week 13 though.
The truth is... with the ups and downs of the college game everyone has a chance. (I know you folks already know this) As we found out last year, it's anybody's game. These kids are prone to huge performance swings, and the competition varies from week to week. It's MUCH harder than fantasy in NFL... LET'S GET IT ON!!! 8)
