Looking at the Ole Miss schedule I have to say if they get by Auburn which they should and manage to beat Bama at home then the Rebs could go undefeated this year....until the SECCG.

Maybe so, but Nutt always seems to come up a little short with his teams.

In other NCAA news, Coach Bo Pelini is on Twitter...

Speaking of Twitter I see that Vols coach Kiffen is in minor trouble for his use of Twitter.

I follow Charlies Twitter and I have read some other coaches tweets and it really seems like a monumental waste of time, but I guess in a way it's filling the gap that text messaging ban left. I don't think I could be much of a recruiter, kissing 18y/o cocky bastards asses just wouldn't set right with me.

Twitter is a stream of your thoughts. Most people who "Tweet" will post stuff like

: I'm at work now, just logged on to the computer

: Going down to the lunch room now

: Oh good they have baked chicken on Rice today, I really like that.

: Looking forward to meeting Jeanne after work, haven't seen her in awhile.

    It's really dumb.

I have read that Les Miles says he's going to Tweet before, during and after games at LSU.

There already has been an incident where an NBA player tweeted during the halftime of a game. His coach was pissed and I think the NBA league office banned it.

You can do WAAAY more with Twitter than that. Most people are just that boring T :)

BTW-are you following Mike Leach? That's some funny stuff right there.

Also, you can post more than the character limit if you use things like this:

Terry, based on your example above, maybe I should do some twittering and bore all of you out of your everloving minds.

Actually, that's why I "unjoined" Facebook. I enjoyed the occasional entries by friends and family, including some here on Skybox, but there were a few younger folks who wrote up to 10-12 times a day about nothing that was even slightly interesting. It drove me nuts. I decided I'm too old to be a participant.

I'm planning on catching the Ole Miss-Cocks game in Sept. Should be an experience.

    Gip,

Have you attended any games at SEC stadiums?

They are pretty crazy places... Ole Miss is special for separate reasons but not as crazy.. Miss State is kinda small and just there.. Vandy is, well...Vandy.. The rest are pretty wild. I'm hoping to finish my 'tour of SEC stadiums' sometime in the next few years.

Actually Corey the game is in SC. We're having a bachelor party for Commish at Hilton Head and one of his buddies is a big Ole Miss fan. He's getting us tix to the game with is at night. Mike has gone to a few games at Miss. and says that the coeds are stunning and so are their moms. :D I'm looking foward to the experience. Wow, Kaufman Stadium and Williams-Brice all within a couple of months. Be still my heart.
