Apparently the Air Force has not been keeping the system up to date and starting next year satellites could start failing and reduce the service level the system is supposed to provide.

I have a GPS in my car and while I can get around without it I find it very handy. I have a GPS dohickey for playing golf and I really like not wandering around looking for sprinkler heads. Face it we've gotten used to this technology, it would be painful for it to go away or be reduced in accuracy.

I'm sure Jif has Onstar in his shiny new Caddy, how will he get around? :)

Damn...I was planning on using GPS to find my way to the bathroom in a few years when I am in the nursing home.
