Chase Daniel(Missouri) who had a great Jr. year, was said to be "a Drew Brees" clone, definitely will play on Sunday, a Heisman Trophy candidate. So he comes back, he doesn't have the same type of year as a Sr. that he had as a Jr. So he goes undrafted. Stephen McGee (A&M), who really had an up and down college career never showed much passing ability as a collegian, maybe due to the offense he played. And not only didn't have a great Sr. year, didn't play much his senior year as injury and young talent at QB kept him on the bench. He goes in the 4th round to Dallas. Go figure. They say the reason a Jr QB should come out if he's going to be drafted is that playing his Sr. year rarely moves him up in the draft, in fact really only exposes him to more criticism and often opposing defenses play better against him that next year.
I also see that Alex Boone of Ohio State didn't get drafted, but I think he basically screwed himself with personal off the court issues that made teams think twice about taking him. Also Jason Watkins of Florida didn't get drafted, I'm suprised he didn't get taken in the late rounds. Michael Bennet of Texas A&M also wasn't taken, I'm really suprised a 3-4 team didn't take him.
That was a surprise. I think his issues were all between the ears...immaturity, some poor decisions - one or two alcohol related offenses - and an attitude that needs work will do it every time, Iguess. I hope he realizes he needs to grow up to go forward.
