It's about time someone spoke up for Miss California.....who exhibited courage and sincerity by giving Mr. Hilton an answer that she had to know would rile him up but it was her answer...her beliefs....her values and she stood up to him and spoke her conviction. I think more people like this writer agree with those positive traits she exhibited as the real issue here and too bad she wasn't rewarded for such courage. http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/04/22/martin.miss.california/index.html
I have in other forums. I support gay marriage, but I also support her right to free speech AND her freedom of religion. I believe she was asked a question and she is being punished for her honesty by a group of people (not the homosexual community) but rather gossip writers like that Perez Hilton who actually make stuff up for a living... the 'man' reports gossip and innuendo but somehow he is on higher moral ground because she was honest? This situation is a nice microcosm for our society today. One of the truly LOL worthy aspects of watching the modern 'enlightened Democrats' is that they really don't understand each other at all. If you think the African-American or Hispanic communities are going to rally behind the rainbow flag anytime soon, you're mistaken.
