Mom, Pop, Junior and Sis can enjoy the game in box seats behind home plate for only $10,000

Yes, that's $2,500 per seat for a baseball game. But a cup of foamy Bud is only $6.00.

It'll be fun to hear Mert talk about the real Yankees of old in K.C.

As Jay Leno said, the only ones who could afford to sit next to the field to watch the yankees play are the New York Yankees.

I'd like to know what kind of an idiot would lay out that kind of money to watch a ball game? Even if you're Bill Gates, it's just plain stupid.

I noticed a section of the nice cushy seats near the dugout...They were almost all empty. Same with Citi Field......Would rather just watch it on tv, and see games live at minor league complexes.

I'm with you NDFAN. Cindy and I got a two seat 19 game package to the Houston Astros' AAA team, the Round Rock Express. We paid $350. That works out to $9.21 per seat per game. Now that's affordable entertainment.

Personally, my business is a major advertiser and have season tickets to the single A Lakewood Blue Claws, a Phillies affiliate ten minutes from our front door. Affordable, clean, great atmosphere.

Yankee Stadium seats around 48-49000 I think which is down from 57,000 at the old place. This year they sold 36,000 season tickets which is way down. Even more interesting.... the tickets sold are from the upper deck down, not the usual field level and up. So far the upper decks have been pretty full while the "cadillac" seats have lots and lots of vacancies.

The Fort Wayne TinCaps - Single A Midwest League, Padres affiliate - opened their new downtown stadium last Thursday, attendance 8,240, a standing room only sellout.
