I'm looking forward to getting to watch an early Spring practice this year. It should be interesting to see the drills & position battles - especially the competition at QB. Should be a good day - grab a Runza burger, watch some practice, have a nice steak at Misty's, then catch a live Jazz show at the Lied Center. I can't wait! (This oughta make someone particular a bit jealous  )
I think you should have made that plural since everyone that wears the orange and blue would like to be in your position. I know that I miss being able to go to the spring game and practices for Tennessee.
I THINK WENDY IS IN THE MOTHER LAND OR PLANNING A TRIP SOON. TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK. I WANT TO HEAR ALL ABOUT IT!! RUNZA BURGERS RULE.....
It all begins bright and early each morning. Instead of serving breakfast, we’re making homemade bread dough from scratch. We’re hand-slicing onions. We’re shredding lettuce for our salads. We’re stirring up big pots of homemade chili or fresh ground beef filling for Runza® Sandwiches. It’s a labor-intensive process that doesn’t let up until long after closing time. We know there are easier ways to do all this. But our commitment to doing things the right way is as real as our food. And that’s not something we’re ever going to change.
Lloyd was web surfing with me reading this thread along with me and just the name Runza burger got his ears perked up and tail wagging. I pulled up the website for him-http://www.runza.com- and determined that Iowa is the closest location. I see a long drive on the summer horizon....
Hey Bobda, I know this isn't on topic, but I have to tell you that while I was watching the St. Mary's-San Diego State NIT BB game last night, I learned that the Aztecs' coach is none other than your former national championship winning coach, Steve Fisher. I might have known at one time that he went to SDS, but if so I've long since forgotten. Funny.....he looks older. SDS is a very good team.
I knew I included enough for HuskerDude to get excited. Course I also thought "QB battle" would at least make folks doubt it was Florida. Here I am in the Motherland! And I left 80 degrees and sunny for 40 degrees with 20 mph winds and snow overnight??? This stadium better be good. I tried replying from O'Hare, but my phone internet wouldn't let me do the forms. Then the crop duster/commuter plane was ready to bring us to Lincoln and I ran out of time. Anyway, I'm off to cruise campus, grab a Runza, and see if I can find this Train I hear so much about. I hear they're showing the Gator Bowl DVD on the jumbotron every night at 8pm so I am looking forward to that. I can watch from my motel room. I sent Tom a pix of the view to post cuz I can't get to our web-host server from here. (... putting on coats, hat, mittens, scarf ...) OK, I'm ready! Wendy
Well, since I might be on the short list for the next batch of lay-offs, maybe they are seeing if I really want my job by sending me to this conference. I give up on emailing the picture. It seems forever stuck on upload and the file is not that big. I'll try again tonight. Daylight's a burnin' and Lord knows I don't want to be out after dark in the cold.
"Crop-Duster Commuter plane"? HFHM may not take kindly about taunts about the Motherland and substitute for Jumbotron viewing the DVD of the Fla/Neb NC game in lieu of the 09 Gator Bowl.
