You're right BT...I could have thrown Marysville, Oh and Smyrna, Tn into the equation. Bottom line is the Japanese car companies seem to be thriving employment wise here in the U.S.....and I don't disagree with that being a positive thing for Americans who have those particular jobs in those communities. It does put enormous pressure on the US manufacturers however because of disparities in wage and benefit expenses as we have discussed before. It's a whole lot easier to learn from others mistakes and when starting fresh in a new state not repeating those costly mistakes than it is ridding your company of those past mistakes once made and eliminating their negotiated contracts.
