No, I'm not talking about being in UConn's bracket (which I certainly didn't want).
I'm talking about probably playing the second round at Notre Dame... against Notre Dame who is a 7 seed.
    WTF????

Since when does a # 2 have to travel to the opponents floor in the 2nd round???

    :x

The whole womens tournament has been screwed since inception. The problem has to do with the fact that there isn't enough interest to allow them to have neutral sites for the first round. Schools have to bid for first round and I have to assume that A&M decided not to bid for a first round site. So you have what you have. The Big East womens tournament has been played essentially on the UConn home court most of the last 10 or 15 years because it's the only place where there will be a guaranteed big crowd.

Maybe someday they'll get brave and play the womens tournament at neutral sites. But for now it is was it is.

BTW mens baseball goes on a similar deal. If the Irish somehow finished as one of the top teams in the country but didn't bid to host the first round then they would have to go on the road to some other place where the home team was ranked lower than they were..

Ah... I didn't know that about the women's tourney.
Sucks, but at least I know why now.

I can't believe we wouldn't bid on something like that. Hmmm...
