On the other end the SEC has only 3 total teams in the tourney. That's terrible for a major conference.

Creighton may be the team wronged the most by the committee.

Irish played all 4 #1 seeds, for total of 7 games. Beat Louisville at home. Not an excuse, but we did have a very difficult schedule, and it couldn't be overcome by the questionable job of coaching that Mike Brey did this year.

    Ugh...

The Aggies lost in the first round of the Big XII tourney, which I thought would work in our favor by dropping us to the 10 line.
    OOPS.

Not only are we back in the 8/9 game which faces the #1 seed in the second round, we have to play BYU who we knocked out in the first round last year.
Nothing like a revenge game to get the other guys going.
At least its not anywhere near Utah, so there won't be a home court factor.

This marks the Aggie's 4th straight tournament appearance, which is awesome considering the wilderness we'd been in for the 25 previous years.
No matter what happens, I don't think we ever have to worry about Aggies taking a tournament bid for granted!

    :D

    This is a terrible tournament...

That being said, I can't wait for it to start.

And this year's NIT should be awesome.

If the Big East doesn't have 2 of the Final 4 and produce a champion, then their entire season will be a massive fraud and failure. They were even billed by one CBS analyst as 'the greatest conference ever'....

ASSU is so happy to make the tournament they sent the school mascot down to Miami to get the school some early exposure. Should be good for recruiting...

I'll be the first to celebrate.

The Aggies move on to the 2nd round for the 4th straight year.

If a quick search is correct, that puts us, Memphis, and North Carolina in that particular category.
Pittsburg, Tennessee, UCLA, and Texas can join the club if they win their openers.

I had a hard time working this afternoon! 8)

I am in a bracket pool on CBSsports.com and I am currently the only one to have successfully picked all the games!

    Scott,

Are you aware that you did not complete your West bracket? I saw that you only had one wrong but are missing 4 possible points. You did not make a selection on the Marquette vs Utah St game in the first round. You also left the second round blank between the winner of that game and Missouri.

That can't be right Tom, I saved it all as complete.

As a matter of fact I think I have a printed copy around here somewhere a that I used for another pool...

Once I find it I'll know for sure. I can't access the site from work.

    Thanks for the heads-up.

I just thought it strange that you were in 1st place but had less possible points than people that had less points.

That's interesting...he didn't pick the Marquette/Utah St game, and he missed the Clem/Mich game but the system gave him 15 correct picks out of 16 games. It should have been 14 correct picks. I wonder if this is a way to scam the system? A blank is counted as a correct pick.

I guess either I hit the wrong button, or something. My printed copy is blank there as well.

    Oh well...

I can't edit from work, so I'll just take the hit.

Oklahoma State appears to be a step quicker than Tennessee today. However, their two best players have two fouls each in the first six minutes of the game. Oklahoma State is on top 16 to 13 with a little over 11 minutes left in the first half.

Tennessee looks to have improved on their shooting percentage. Right now we are 41% from the field and 42% from 3 point range. The low point is we are 0 - 2 from the free throw line

7:51 left in the first and Tennessee has taken a small lead for about the 4th time in a back and forth game. Tennessee up 24 - 23.

Shooting from the field up to 50% and we are now 50% from the free throw line.

The bad news is that Chism has been called for his second foul. He is the only Tennessee player with foul issues.

OK State coach hit with a Technical coming back from time out. He was at center court yelling at the officials.

Tennessee goes on a 7 - 0 run and are now up 32 - 25 with OK State taking a time out. 6:27 left in the half.

There is a bird, or birds flying around in this arena. I have seen them several times. This game is not on TV but it is being shown live on Sportsline.
