Bill Clinton made it eight years without disclosing his medical information. I wonder if Obama can conceal his citizenship?
Something to do with his hanging out with Ramon and Victor Maitland in Beverly Hills... <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/36nxQGETXks&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/36nxQGETXks&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
The legend was that Clinton had some cocaine related nasal problems and some STD issues from earlier in his political career. This was fueled by him refusing to release his personal medical records. I believe he is the only president who has ever refused this normal procedural request.
Unless his mother is not a US Citizen it doesn't make any difference where he was born. I think that is what these people have alleged, that he was born in Kenya (is that where his father is from?), but children born to US citizens outside the USA are still automatically US citizens. If his mother was not a US citizen (zero chance on that), then of course where he was born is very important. If he was born to non-citizen parents in the USA, he would of course automatically be a US citizen, which is one of the reasons Mexicans want to have their children in L.A. Born to at least 1 US Citizen anywhere in the world, he's a US citizen. This really seems dumb.
Actually, that is incorrect, Terry... US law at the time of Obma's birth stated that if only one of your parents was a US citizen AND you were born outside the country, you qualified as a natural born US citizen only if the parent who was a citizen (his mother) had resided in the US for at least 10 years...5 years of which had to be after the age of 16. His mother was only 18 at the time of his birth, so if he was not born in Hawaii, the question comes up about whether that requirement falls into place. But I believe it to be a non-issue.
I did not know that. I certainly hope he was born in Hawaii, I wouldn't look forward to the big fight if it turns out he wasn't born in Hawaii.
