It's being reported all over that BB turned down a 1st round pick (#12) from Denver for Cassell to send him to KC along with Vrabel for a 2nd round pick (#34) from the Chiefs. Doesn't make a lot of sense. Some say BB just hates assistants that leave and doesn't want to help them, so he would rather take less and screw Josh McDaniels.
exactly...pats didnt get nearly enough...however, it opens up 14 million which I am sure will go for a couple of guys who can step right in and play for Pats
I just don't get what Denver was thinking trying to trade for Cassel anyway. I know he's familiar with McDaniel's system and had success last year in it but they have Jay Cutler who I think is one of the better young QBs in the game. Why would you even try a trade and risk alienating your teams' best player other than Brandon Marshall, who by the way, got arrested again over the weekend and is staring down a major suspension.
I agree with you Aquila, and supposedly Cutler is really pissed right now that McDaniels tried to trade him.
Manny can go fug himself. It seems no one wants a complacent multi-year contract Manny on their roster. He may become no-happy and then his knee could start hurting. If ManRam doesn't sign with the Dodgers, maybe he'll wait until a slugger goes down on another team and then ride in on his caballo blanco to sign a rich half-year deal. Good money, less work. Bueno.
