Tennessee took a 14 point lead midway through the first half to have florida cut it to 2 points with just under 4 minutes left. Tennessee stretches it back to 11 point lead with 90 seconds left. With 90 seconds left, the first free throw is attempted. Very clean game.
First half ends with a three pointer from Tennessee to make the score 45 to 33, Tennessee up by 12 at the half.
Can't see it because I am in Yankee land and they would rather watch the Big 12....for some unknown reason since this is Michigan.... :x Anyway...I am listening on Yahoo and the UF radio guy is a little concerned about pushes in the back by UT casuing two Florida travels and no foul on Tenn. Then right before the half Tenn loses the ball....recovers....scores three and no travel called on losing the ball awkwardly. But hey....that's the Florida radio guy for ya.....
mcg, wasn't it you that determined how fair the refs were in calling a game by looking at the total fowls called against each team? Tennessee has had seven calls go against them and florida has only been called for one foul. By your system, it sounds like the refs are cheating in favor of florida.
Dish network is having difficulty with 4 channels, one of them is the one I have waited all weekend to watch this game. So it doesn't sound like I'm missing much.
UF just lost the ball and the Florida announcer is going berserk about no call after Tenn put their hands on Walker..... Oh well..... He just said....FINALLY....the whistle blows on Mayes.... Whatever....Tenn is good enough anyway not to need any help.....
I can hear the partisan crowd voice displeasure as well..... A little of that is going to happen in college BB but this is getting repetitive.....
C'mon MCG, give me a break man. The Gators are losing by 13 AT HOME. Common sense tells you that the refs don't have a lot to do with that.
Another obviously unbiased source. Foul count is now 13 to 7 in favor of florida. Fire those biased refs!!!
Fouls are one thing.....travel calls are another....but hey it sounds like Tenn is outplayin em anyway and I am not surprised.... This group of Gators doesn't suck it up too well when faced with adversity so any time they were to spend in the NCAAs would be short-lived.
I feel the same about these Vols but getting a top seed for the SEC tourney by winning out would be nice. On top of that, if Tennessee wins out, they're a shoo-in to at least get in the tourney which would be something to build on for next season. Gators have just cut it to 8 though so I'm not countin' any chickens...
Looks like the second half is running along similar to the first half. Tennessee has a 16 point lead that florida has battled back to make it an eight point game with nine minutes left.
32 minutes and 10 seconds into the game and Tennessee is going to shoot foul shots for the second time in the game.
Not enough defense for Florida....the UF announcer not happy about that either. Frustrating team.....to listen to.
Heard enough... Missed two free throws and then let Tenn score with no time on the shot clock.. Congrats to the Vols....got our number in roundball these days......but join the crowd.
Like I said, I can't watch the game. But I do know this much, the refs aren't losing the game for the Gators. Pearl seems to own the Gators, I think this is about 7 straight, three of them over our two championship teams.
