I anoint this one #1 before anyone posts any others. I want to elect this Sheriff as our next President of the United States! POLK COUNTY FLORIDA SHERIFF GRADY JUDD Some 'dirtbag' in Polk County Florida who got pulled over in a routine traffic stop ended up 'executing' the deputy who stopped him. The deputy was shot eight times, including once behind his right ear at close range. Another deputy was wounded and a police dog killed. A state wide manhunt ensued. The low-life was found hiding in a wooded area with his gun. SWAT team officers fired and hit the guy 68 times. Now here's the kicker: Naturally, the media asked why they shot him 68 times. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, told the Orlando Sentinel: 'That's all the bullets we had !!' (Talk about an all-time classic answer !!!) Justice Served. Bullets are much cheaper than 40 years of meals, cable and civil rights
Woody Hayes was drubbing Michigan one year and near the end of the game managed to force yet another TD down their throats. Then he converted a two point conversion. When asked why he went for two he replied "Because they wouldn't let me go for three".
Just an elaboration of BT's remembrance of Woody's famous quote because it directly led to the monumental upset of #1 Ohio State the next season... How about...."we're not gonna take that crap from those Buckeyes....etc....etc...." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1969_Michigan_vs._Ohio_State_football_game
How's about the one the Bucks pulled in JT's first year? Kinda like the "Bambino" calling his shot except Tress called it almost a year before.
. ....you mean this one? 8) <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/oDOXwSwvwO8&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/oDOXwSwvwO8&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Kinda reminds me of another new coach hired lately who has been calling out his rivals......well......maybe not so much. 8) ....not yet anyway....
You know, strange that you mention that, I was thinking the same thing. We'll see this fall just how similar those statements are... Here's hoping they're dead on!!
Aquila, take heart....the situations are quite similar. The program was down, performance on and off the field was not up to expectations, the team up north had been dominating for several years and we had to go up to their house next trip with their fans arrogant and scoffing.....we were big underdogs on the road. Our senior captain and starting QB was relegated to holding the clipboard but was barred from playing in his last M game due to a brain fart DUI......we won 26-20. The next year, we beat the Canes in the Fiesta for the national title. don't listen to 'em.....go for it Coach!
Tressel came in with a reputation for winning and a slew of championships in his pocket. That's all I need to say.
