As we know Congressional motors is bent on forcing all of us to buy the kind of cars that THEY think we should be driving. That of course is high mileage piss ant boxes and the new electric cars being planned. Of course that would pose a problem to the blood suckers who use the gasoline tax the fund large construction projects on roads where they can gather generous kick backs or campaign contributions.
Fear not. Our new administration has come up with a new proposal that probably won't bother those so called civil libertarians one bit.

What they don't mention is that with a gps in your car the government knows where you are and how fast you are driving. This could destroy the jobs of those folks who make radar detectors.

LOL! Is it now the Big Four or The Big Cat and the three blind mice? (I hesitate to include Ford in the joke only because they are not dipping into the Government bailout money at this time.)

Congressional Motors is a idea who's time has come...most of the Congress conducts business just like the old fashioned used car salesman...so why not take the next step! ;)

Wow! I'm tired of reading crap like this. When is America going to wake up and get these people out of office??? Does no one see that our lives can be drastically changed if someone doesn't man up? Ideas like this infuriate me but, at the same time, they scare the piss out of me. Sure, maybe our privacy would be preserved for a while but make no mistake, it wouldn't last forever.

As a teenager I often wondered how a New World Order/Big Brother type of government would ever be allowed to come into existence. Regretfully, I'm seeing how it happens right before my eyes. You get enough people scared and desperate and at the same time ignorant and you have a perfect recipe for complete government takeover. Now, just imagine for a second, that the unfathomable happens and another terrorist attack were to occur on our shores.

OK, I'm finished with sounding like a conspiracy theorist for now. Enjoy your day!

I agree with Aquila .... I too am tired of reading this. It's our fault. When will we realize that these assholes work for us, not the other way around?

When we come to grips with that realization we can set about re-claiming our country.

Exactly. When we completely lose sight of that fact, we will start working for them. That reality is, I'm afraid, coming sooner rather than later....

    For the record:

Legislation like this would force me into a situation in which I either

    a)Rarely see my son
b)Force me to move 1 hour east to live closer to my ex-wife...who is the reason I moved west in the first place.

Awesome. The Obama Administration...bringing families together.

I can't ever remember a president making a more auspicious debut in my lifetime than Obama.

In exactly one month he has run up more debt than we could ever imagine, stopped interrogation of terrorist suspects, turned terrorist masterminds loose, unleashed a cabinet comprised of all manor of nefarious individuals, had his AG lecture us on our cowardice as a people and managed to squeeze in a four day Valentines weekend in ChiTown.

    I'm sure I've forgotten something.

Don't forget lifting the ban on federal aid (read: our tax dollars) that supports international "family planning" groups that offer abortions. No matter your stance on abortion (I am very much opposed), using tax dollars collected from all of us to allow women in OTHER countries the opportunity to kill their unborn children is simply not right.

OK so here we are teetering on the brink (if you believe our new President) and just where is everybody? Well, Hillary is in Japan. Pelosi is in Italy. Obama, he's off visiting Canada. Now that they've accomplished paying off all their environmental activists and abortion rights folks they can take a well earned foreign vacation at taxpayer expense.
There was a certain part of the American electorate that became complacent and even uninterested during the past 4 years. I sense that they are once again awakening to the incredible havoc that can occur when you allow the far left to "change" America. The pendulum will swing the other way. We needed the incompetence of Carter to enable the era of Reagan. Now if we can just get some strong conservative leadership on the right...

Is she meeting with the Pope? If so, wouldn't he have a lot to say to her about her position on abortion? About her being a C of C (Catholic of convenience)?

And as far as I can tell there were no photo ops of the event. Apparently the Pope didn't want to afford her any evidence that she and he were in any way in agreement on anything.

In a White House statement this afternoon the administration backed off this idea. Seems that there was just a little bit of outrage voiced by a number of pissed off American drivers.

The Likud party is back in power in Isreal. It appears they don't have too much faith in American assistance in the near future.

I know far too many 20 and early 30somethings that bought into the Obamathon... I told them that, despite the multiple attempts at re-writing history lately, that Carter's Administration was so awful that it launched 12 consecutive years of Republican Executive rule and 20 of the past 28.

If this keeps up, it will most certainly swing the other way... and I don't know if that is a good thing. The GOP became too fat. They became too full of their own special interest groups...and the Jesus.... Jesus H Christ with the Jesus..

But anywho, the GOP that was replaced hasn't truly converted its ways IMHO and they have to be sitting back just loving the extreme direction the California Communist Party and the Daley Political Machine has taken this country in a very, very short time.

The GOP needed to get their act together and if this keeps up, they won't. They will simply win by default.

This does NOT coincide at all with Obama's obvious plans to legitimize the terrorists around the world, as hinted at in the second paragraph above.
I salute Israel on this move... they can't count on us for much in the near future for a lot of reasons.
