Yes, match played here in Columbus. Wild crowd and a lot of Mexican fans in attendance. Game was over before the 60 MPH winds arrived. Don
Well which is it you confused frickin' pigs in a human suit? RW&B or BSG&R&W? BTW Horchata, next time you wave at my boys, you better use all your fingers.
I've followed soccer since I was 5 passionately.. That's what.. 1975? I have been following the United States vs Mexico rivalry as close as most anyone else you'll ever meet. I know a few select Gator fans like to think I have this blinding hatred of all things Gator.. Most of it is pulling their chain... but make no mistake, I have a blinding raging hatred for Mexico that borders on unhealthy. I think they have earned that place in my heart. I don't hate all Mexicans, just the ones that hate the United States... and there is a whole bunch of em.. The United States has turned the corner on the international stage and each generation of America's players are better than the next. Mexico has been stagnant water for some time and that really upsets them. When I was a child, we dreamed to tie Mexico anywhere. Now the series has turned into one in which the home team owns the W column. What I am hoping for now is to see the United States head into Estadio Azteca on August 12th, 2009 with a chance to eliminate Mexico from World Cup contention in front of 105 to 100,000 fans and to actually dump them on their Holy ground. Honduras has had a nice qualifying round and if one more team can jump up into the action, Mexico may find itself in trouble... and I want to see all their dreams destroyed.. burned right to the ground.
Got to watch the game in San Diego. Lots of folks there didn't seem too happy with the outcome. I thought that our midfield play and ball control skills are improving. However we had some serious defensive breakdowns that could easily have led to 2 or 3 Mex. goals. Nice win however.
