Here is a list of what was eliminated from the Stimulus bill:

Call me liberal if you must but why do I think things like 98 million for school nutrition were not such a bad idea?

... speaking of, "You asked for it", I don't know if I am in a majority here but how many would love to see the police turned loose to grant the wishes of a criminal when he makes statements like: "Shoot me... Shoot me m********* F*********!" I think the next sound heard should be "bang". If not "bang", then "Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang."

I get so tired of housing triple repeat offenders that have the attitude that they can do anything they want.

I will go on record as saying that something to upgrade school nutrition is a good idea but not in a stimulus package.

Isn't funding of the schools (including nutrition) a state tax matter?

Of all the promises Obama tossed out there, a tax credit for fathers who pay child support is certainly one that I would like to see. I bet ya that NOW kills it.

Every single year since I was 18 I got money back on my taxes, or owed nothing. Every single year since my divorce, I have owed both state and federal taxes despite the fact that I actually make less money now....

Gipper pointed out in another section all of the elements of this bill. Why don't you go point by point and justify those...

Great point on school funding, Corey. It is supposed to be funded at the local and state levels. Here in Howell, NJ a full 73% of our property tax bill goes directly to the local Board of Education.

This blurring of boundaries and duplication of services has played a huge part in driving taxes up.

Of all of the provisions in the Stimulus bill the one I am most interested in is the 10%/$15,000 tax credit for home buyers.

That gives me a little hope I might be able to get the f@@@ outta here..!!

    George,

Here in AL, our Republican Gov a few years ago ran a brilliant strategy that has still left him hated by many conservatives in these parts.

The AEA here in AL rules the kingdom and they wield a lot of political power. They've destroyed many a conservatives career for not bending over backward to protect the union and their desires.

What Riley did was take the AEA funding platform, and he ran it up the flag pole. He stole what they had been longing for and claiming that evil Republicans kept from them and made it his economic platform submitted for vote. The bill went down in defeat badly.

Since then, he has owned the AEA.
