A game that you would expect to se tied at 50 going into the half is a one point game, 29 to 28 in Tennessee's favor at the half. Good defense or just bad shooting? A little of both actually. Close exciting game.

    Tom,

A great game to watch, some great athletic bodies out there on both teams. I love close games like this with one run after another.

Tough one to lose if you are a Tennessee fan.

This game went anything but the way I expected. This game trudged along at the pace of a Big Ten game involving Wisconsin. It was a very unfortunate loss for Tennessee as a win here would have given the Vols 3 very impressive non-con victories adding to the wins over Georgetown and Marquette.

That said, Tennessee needs to pull it together quickly. They've had some nice SEC road wins though and if they can keep that up, they should be in good shape. I keep waiting on this team to really click but I'm just not sure if the personnel meshes well. It seems as though they have 4 forwards out there and one guard, none of which can shoot the 3 ball with any consistency. In fact, I feel better about Wayne Chism shooting from beyond the arc than I do most of the guards. If Pearl can help this team find their identity then look out. I'm just not sure that that's possible with this team's current configuration.
