This could go under the #1 debate topic but I think it may generate too many posts under an already long topic.

Attention needs to be given to their point system as it is quantitative instead of subjective.

Here is an excerpt on Florida:

    " 1. Florida (13-1) Final Score: 28.98
And it's not even close. Only three teams had seven wins over teams that finished with winning records; Florida had nine, and almost had ten with Hawaii finishing at .500 after a bowl loss. The point differential score was No. 1 by a long shot, with Oklahoma finishing with a 3.73 score and Florida at 4.3. The great schedule, with the wins over all the good teams, doesn't even include Tennessee or Arkansas in the final score. This was the best team in the country that had the best season by a huge margin."

I love the way that they try to take into account every game. But didn't Oklahoma finish the year 12-2? Maybe they just didn't count the loss to Texas.

12-2 is correct....and I wondered about that myself as to if they factored that in. Obviously some editing will be coming soon you would think.

Yeah, let's just ignore that other loss!

Texas had almost as good an offense as Oklahoma, bet them and had a better record. They should be ranked ahead of Oklahoma.

Well Texas ended the season with a better record and won the head to head on a neutral field. You'd have to phoney up the record to justify ranking OK ahead of Texas.

I'm sure if any of the CFN crew had watched the Gator Bowl, NU would have cracked the top 25.
