This has nothing to do with the board from which I was banned and then reinstated. Another similar board has made me a moderator in their forum. I won't be spending any less time here on the skybox during the busy times but I may be more easily reached by e-mail during the off seasons.
Isn't this a conflict of interest? You say that now, but what about later Tom? When the new thing in your life becomes more interesting, and the dinners start gettin cold? What do we do then? Where are we in this equation? Shouldn't we have talked about this first? You come up with this..... My God....I'm sounding like the redhead....
Only if it was another sports board. Alienation of affection could be an issue in that case. I am now going to be moderating discussions among people that advocate carrying weapons at all times. ... a little higher responsibility, maybe. Corey, you worry me sometimes.
My new duties are with Carry Concealed.net I moderate the entire forum along with several other guys but I am solely responsible for the Texas area. Just started the Texas area this week so not much activity yet.
Well, things have changed just a bit. The owner made me an Administrator. This is good news for the Skybox. I will be able to get a close look at the vBulletin software so that I can make an informed decision as to whether to recommend that Ray move us to vBulletin or to stay with what we have. Most of you were aware of the issues we had with the board going down several times last year. This was thought to be due to hacker activity. vBulletin is reported to be much less vulnerable to such attacks than phpbb is. I already like some of the moderator functions. If someone tries to register with our system, like a bot or a porn site, vBulletin can keep them from even seeing the site. When they type in www.theskybox.com, they would get a message stating that they do not have access once we as moderators lock them out.
