In response to Spurrier's inquiry as to whether LK took the required NCAA test before starting recruiting, LK had this to say: From one of the Vol posters:
I love it. Obviously Spurrier has been a thorn in UT's side for a long while. However, he is not the biggest thorn plaguing Tennessee football right now. Notice that CLK hasn't begun rubbing Saban, Meyer, and Richt the wrong way. Hopefully, he'll start doing that on a consistent basis in the near future, ON THE FIELD.
Let me see AQUILA, CLK has to face Spurrier, Meyer, Saban and Richt every year! That's a tough row to hoe. He better get it going quickly.
No doubt that's a tall order, Bill. I don't expect stellar results right away (unlike some UT fans). However, I do think he can beat Spurrier right away and I think that's the reason he has kind of "singled him out." He did more or less guarantee a victory over the Gators next year. If Tebow leaves, it's possible but still not likely with that great Florida defense returning more or less intact.
How many draft eligible Gators on defense? You might find some of those guys going to the NFL if they can.
I guess there are really 3 who are draft eligible with only one very likely - Spikes - one not very likely - DE Cunnigham - and one a possibility not not very probable - DT Marsh. I suspect the entire defense will return save Spikes.
