No doubt Sam had a great year. I was hoping Colt would win, but he'll be back next year! Now I have to go ahead and gads root for the Sooners! Ugh.
Well it turns out that Carol Stoops is in fact a very nice looking blonde. She has her own website, turns out she's a big time Mary Kay Saleperson. She's won 5 pink caddilacs and is now an Nat'l Director and gets a new Caddy every year. So I guess Big Game Bob is the slacker in the family! Carol Stoops
Congrats to Sam Bradford, very deserving of the award. Now, I hope TT has extra motivation for the BCS title game. Of course, my concern is not that TT and UF's offense will move the ball against OU but rather ...... can UF's defense slow down the OU offense/scoring machine?
Last time it was a former HS trophy winner QB vs a current HS trophy winner QB it was USC vs OU. The new guy (Matt Lienart) got the win over the old guy (Jason White). Hopefully history repeats! But I'd feel better if I didn't have to look at that big bulky cast on Bradfords left hand.
I think it reflects how the votes were split in most cases between McCoy and Bradford. In most cases they were 1 and 2 on most ballots.
According to Beano Cook, the voters in the Southwest/B12 area voted Bradford/McCoy and Harrell in the 1st 3 places on their ballots. According to him if they had put Tebow in 3rd place he would have won. Beano says people from Texas and the B12 can no longer complain about a Eastern Bias against their players. Yawn....
None of this conversation changes my mind. Any one of the three would have been a very deserving winner. Take your pick. There's no question that voting blocks influence the Heisman outcome. It makes for spirited conversation after the fact, and in some years there is a legitimate beef from fans of the runner-up. This year is an exception IMO.
