Ain't gonna happen. I'm not really sure why anybody really cared if these two team met. Granted they are both undefeated, but beyond that nothing earth shattering would come out of that meeting. Boise State is better served by playing and beating a BCS Conference school and the same for Ball State. Even if they play the 3rd or 4th or even lower schools from a BCS conference.

I wasn't suprised that Boise wasn't interested in anything other than a bowl game meeting in the Humanitarian Bowl which just happens to be their home field. And not suprisingly Ball State didn't think that was so attractive.

I think Boise is slotted to meet TCU in San Diego, which is a good match up for them. TCU is a good program, Mtn West is not BCS, but TCU is in the top 25 (aren't they?).

Turns out it's not just the big boys who discriminate!! :)

Boise is interested in a BCS bowl.

I'm pretty sure that isn't played on the blue turf.

Also, why play another team (ala Ball State) when they can kick Miami's ass and get more respect? (sadly)

Speaking of your boy Turner Gill, I remember Roger (who seemed to be some what of a Husker insider) making a comment that there was a heavy christian fundamentalist bent to the Husker coaching staff under Osborne. I noted that Gill after the game gave thanks to Jesus for the win. Roger seemed to think it was a little bit of a problem and was why Uncle Frankie was given the boot, for sinning with alcohol and wimmen. Ever hear that?

Don't know all the facts Doc, but I have heard similiar stories. Keep in mind he did get a DUI a couple of years ago. Frank was under Osborne for 18 years. Tom hand picked him to be his successor so either he had it under control or it came apart after. Osborne did have a christian athlete council and opened up all his coaches meetings with prayer. Ron Brown (Receivers coach) is the same way. Can't say Pellini is a tea sipper though...
