I understand Morley was not on the team when he committed the robbery because Fulmer had dismissed him for academic reasons.

There is a huge difference in "Armed Robbery" and "Strong-armed Robbery" NDFAN. Read the article:

    Morley in Knox County Jail.

I'm not trying to justify his actions. It's just this way that stories get started where people are labeled inaccurately. This initial post was just one more of those situations.

A Texas Tech DB was arrested by DEA agents for cocaine distro...why is that a big story. His roomate is Michael Crabtree. No way he's dealing as much coke as they say he is and Crabtree doesn't know it.

But he wasn't on the team when he committed the robbery, right?

This is the same kid who got into college, along with several others, finishing his senior year after playing football at a bogus diploma mill that was exposed in the newspaper a couple of years later. He was not ready to be a college student and failed out. Then he went to Community College to pull up his grades, was working in Knoxville and sleeping in a car while trying to get back in school and play football. He was readmitted and played last season.

This incident occurred when he was out of UT. I admit it was not a good incident.

However this guy worked his tail off to get back into school and play football. I hope he is able to put this behind him also and continue with his football career.

I don't see how anyone can laugh at Fulmer or be happy about this incident. Personally I hope he works through it and is back playing football under some strict guidelines and guidance. What he went through to get readmitted shows some strength of character and he's still young enough that I don't think he should be thrown under the bus.

I agree with Bill's assessment of the matter. I can't see how anyone can justify glee at another program's issues like this one when no program represented on this board is free from stain. Glass houses........

Also, I will repeat what I've said here previously. I respect Fulmer.

P.S. After reading the article, it appears the young man still has academic issues, at least regarding class attendance. Hopefully he gets squared away and can contribute to the team and society. If not, he can't say he didn't have enough chances.

Thanks AQUILA, I hope Morley keeps his life straight, plays well and succeeds in the NFL.

Many times young people do dumb things when they are young and plenty of them come from backgrounds that a lot of us do not understand. It seems to me this guy has done a lot of things right to become eligible and like I said above I hope he keeps it up.

My bad didn't mean to make it a point of laughing at them. More of a Fulmer to ND by other ND fans out there on message boards. He couldn't make it at ND.

Didn't mean to ruffle feathers....hey I was being an internet blogger, post then check all facts later!
