That's pretty much the way it is across the board in CFB and not just with the Florida teams. Every conference has their enemies. Take Nebraska for example, I can tell you that the majority of the state has a ton of dislike for Miami. We don't like them, period. FSU, not our favorite especially after getting screwed in the '94 O.B. Florida however, well we actually like the Gators in the Motherland. To us over the years they're like a Dog, they roll over when you want them to and can take a good beating.
Love the hat, AJ. I was watching something on Bama recently and was very pleasantly surprised to see how much the Bear's hat - the actual hat - is a part of Bama game day outfits, even among the young folks. THAT is respect for tradition. I think it's really cool.
I will say this... we have a lot of nice looking women in Texas, but after attending some games in SEC country they seem to be the strongest conference in the "Honey" category. 8) Oh... just for Corey. The Mountain West, specifically the U of Utah gives the SEC a serious run for their money! (That is what AJ would call a TARGET RICH ENVIRONMENT!)
That's nonsense MCG. While most people agree with you about what will likely happen if Florida, Texas and Oklahoma win out, most of the also acknowledge that it is possible that Texas and Oklahoma could end up 1 and 2. You just block that stuff out because you don't agree.
Scott, Oh I am well versed in the benefits of a few Mountain West conference schools. My question is... if you chase a Ute, do you still have to wear the special underwear or is that just a Cougar thing?
Bill...I don't "block" it out. I have seen nothing anywhere by anybody of substance that says Florida will not be in the BCS title game if they go 12-1...really....show me where you have legitimate sources that state that.....it's a challenge...go ahead!! On the rest of ya....wow....OMG....I am suddenly feeling Tide...ish...
There is still too much arguing <r>let the games play out, enjoy the views in the meantime.<br/> <br/> again..representing the SEC West in Atlanta...<br/> <br/> <IMG src="http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x207/bowconnor/Gameday-Atlanta-2008053.jpg"><s></e></IMG><br/> <br/> <IMG src="http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x207/bowconnor/1503303714_984d3cde21.jpg"><s></e></IMG><br/> <br/> <IMG src="http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x207/bowconnor/longoria2.jpg"><s></e></IMG><br/> <br/> <IMG src="http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x207/bowconnor/IheartJuliusjonesjjpg.jpg"><s></e></IMG><br/> <br/> <IMG src="http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x207/bowconnor/image007.jpg"><s></e></IMG></r>
....effin A baby... If I had ever taken the info graciously provided to me on Skybox for posting photos and applied it I am sure there are quite a few hotties out there on the web that could I represent well for the SEC East..... 8)
I wasn't back yesterday or this morning but have to say the scenery on this topic is wonderful! AJ, glad you love the Gators and for sure we took that beating in the 97 bowl game. However I am not sure you would love us quite so much if we were to play now! MCG, I'll probably be back with a couple of leaks for you. However let me say this, that ever since the BCS started I have made sure that I understand the math and could work the numbers out, at least see what could happen, myself. The year FSU edged Miami out to get beat by Oklahoma I saw that possibility from looking at the numbers. Gonzo was like you are now, in denial, but it happened and Miami was left out even after beating FSU. The so called experts on tv etc are just like you, going from emotion and what they think will happen, not necessarily looking at the numbers and projecting. I don't find them all that reliable until right at the end and as I recall they were not sure Florida could beat out Michigan in 96. Keep in mind also that this time those that think like I am putting forth are not saying it is likely, but possible. You on the other hand are in complete denial and not even willing to listen to a possible scenario even if it is less than 50/50.
MCG, here is a link to a guy who I have followed for several years with the BCS and have found him to be very accurate and he actually makes computer scenarios as to what would happen if! The guy you linked has a pretty good analysis but not backed up by numbers. This guy has projected numbers. They both agree that if Oklahoma wins this weekend they are in the Big 12 Championship game which gives them the inside track to the BCS Championship game. Difference is the one I linked backs it up with numbers. Sorry Terry. They both agree that if Florida wins out they have the inside track to the BCS Championship game. Again my link backs it up with numbers and as I have been saying acknowledges the possibility of Florida missing out. BCS Discussion
