I've always known that the Jim Jones movement originated in Indianapolis, but this article provides a perspective that for me as a Hoosier is eye-opening. It might or might not be of interest to others, but in view of the currently in-vogue phrase "drinking the kool-aid" I thought it would be appropriate to post the article:

    Jonestown Massacre Nov. 18, 1978

Last night on George Noory's Coast to Coast they played some tapes from Jim Jones meetings, they were chilling to say the least.

    on a more serious note.

    1. Thank you for the article. It's a horrific tragedy by any standards, but reading the article really brings home the personal tragedies suffered by 'the little people' which amazingly are the ones who give maniacs like Jim Jones the power he wields.

I think it is best summed up in the following quotes from the article
    This is where it starts
And this is where it ends.

I just read the article. I can only imagine how tough it is for the relatives of the victims.

Not to make light of the event, but when Jonestown occurred we had a guy named Jim Jones in our fraternity. His nickname was "Rev" from that point forward.
